Ship Mastery - Drones

This OP has my support. As primarily an Amarr player, my own drones are useless and I'm opposed to stuffing my ships with Gallente tech - my sworn enemy - under any circumstances. As far as I'm concerned, it shouldn't be recommended that I train Gallente anything to Level V, much less mastery of Amarr ships.

My take on this Mastery Achievement thing is it's for folks who have OCD. It don't matter unless you in your head think it matters. Then it's a never ending nightmare your most likely never going to achieve well enough to ever be happy with.

As far as I got the mastery system, it is just a guide to become better at this specific ship. If you feel fine with your skillset, then you don't have to train any further into that ships mastery.

Or do you just want that golden, shiny icon on that ship?

Yes ma'am, I surely do.

Sad, I know, but that is how it is for some of us.

This is not a signature.

Its not the inclusion of drones Tippia, his exact reasoning was, if you are required to master the RACIAL skills for that hull, such as guns/ship, why is the drones skills standalone in requiring you to learn the universal set for mastery?

hes saying, for a ship primarily aimed as a drone boat, its okay for all 4 races, but for a ship that is primarily a gun/missile boat, you should only need the drone skills relevant to their race, since they dotn focus on drones in that hull anyways.

it hoenstly bothered me when i saw it, simply because it WAS inconsistent, and added a needless and out of the way hurdle for a hull that doesnt have a single bonus or spec for drones other than a bay/bandwidth for like 1 drone.

I'm definetly part of your "some of us" group. Blink
All I can tell you by now is that is looks good on my shuttles. Lol

Its a long way for me to go too to get that pretty golden icon onto my Mymidon. The skill plan tells me something around july/august next year. Till then something else will surely come along the road.

I was looking at mastery levels on pirate ships the other day, it might have been updated since but when i looked racial hullsize wasnt in the mastery. For example you can have level 5 vindi mastery with minny and gallente bs both at 3.

The only reason I can imagine is that the skills to fly that ship (lets say it's the Vindi) are the prerequisities and the other skills (those in the masteries) improove the ships performance beyond those skills.

No less sense than the most technologically advanced race using the statistically worst weapons for their primary turrets.

Except that for drones there are no similar racial preferences depending on the ship you fly, so Minmatar drone spec is no more or less relevant for a Omen than it is a Caracal or Rupture. Conversely, since the ships have a drone bay which could be occupied by combat drones all the combat drone skills could be relevant.
