LAN install?

I installed EVE on my gaming rig, been playing for about a week and enjoying it. Now I want to install on my lappy as well, so I can log in to do routine stuff like checking my skill queue, etc.

Is there a way to install the game client over my LAN (whole or part) so I don't need to download another 5GB over the internet? it seems silly to spend a couple of hours downloading all of that stuff again when all the files are already on another machine right here in the house...

Thanks!

You should be able to simply copy the entire “C:\Program Files\CCP” directory over to the laptop bolus bolus.

What Mara said. Just copy/paste the whole directory from one machine to another.

In addition, if you don't want to download the patches repeatedly:

open up the launcher settings (cog icon on the launcher)
go to the Patches tab
untick the 'delete patches after use' box.
Then, once one machine has patched, you should be able to export the patches on one machine, then import them on another. (same tab)

To be safe yoy should also copy the application data folders and eve folders you get in my documents. You won't have to go through the trouble of setting up your overview settings again then.

Dumbing down of Eve Online will result in it's destruction...
