Finaly we got this but i have some toughts about it.. like can you make it so that everytime you insert/edit a bookmark you will be prompted with a corp passwords or a backlog showing who withdraw/created/modify's the bookmark? Since this game is full of jerks you might end up in the wrong place if somebody switches your bookmarks. :) Just saying Roll

but only corp members with the role 'Communications Officer' can delete locations that other members have created.

Covered.

Awesome.

Could we also get an (optional) oldschool Norton Commander-style Interface to the bookmarks? (eg, twice the current interface next to each other). Because it is currently a bit of a hassle, to move a Bookmark from one directory that fills your screen when it is expanded into a different folder. That way we could open the source directory on the left pane, the destination directory on the right and just drag it over.

This is pure awesome.

I love the last part, this and moving fittings to server site is going to make things much easier for those of us who log in from time to time on our laptops. Not to mention re-installing situations after hard disk crash.

Are there any plans to move the overview settings to the server also? And maybe introduce corp overview setting presets?

So my corporation of 4000 people can have anyone add a bookmark, but is limited to 250 bookmarks.

i would really appreciate the ability to restrict bookmark creation by role, this just is going to add a level of pain in the ass without any corresponding benefit

Not to mention the awoxing possibilites;

Create a bookmark in a system named "Jump bridge to system X" which is simply a warp-in to an anchored bubble and your gank-fit ship.

Best thing is not losing bookmarks do to cache problems....

I've been wanting that for a long time.

Thanks a bunch CCP.

Niiiiiiice!

Pretty damn sure we'll run out of bookmark space quickly, but this just means we need to be careful and only bookmark the important stuff....

I think the storage of things like bookmarks and overview settings on the server is great, but I desperately want the ability to export/import this stuff to a local file as well. Mostly I want to use export/import to share bookmarks between my characters, but we've already seen that this sort of thing has unexpected uses that the player community has thought of. Exporting fittings into EFT, for example.

So, CCP, you've clearly already learned that export/import is good, because we now have it for fittings and overview settings. Why not for bookmarks too? In fact, since you already know it's good, why should I even have to ask for it on a case-by-case basis? Just be consistent and let us import/export pretty much anything that you ever add to the game that would make sense to import/export!

If there is some reason that you don't want us to be able to do this, fine; but please give me some other way to move the dozens of tactical bookmarks I've got on one of my characters to my other character. Forcing me to copy/trade them little by little, or to simply make a whole other set of bookmarks on each character is just pointless tedium that doesn't improve the player experience at all.

well i think that's what they're thinking of as the reason not to restrict creation by role but it won't happen: we'll just say "official bookmarks are from X"

but we'll still get idiots accidentally creating them all the ******* time and it'll be a huge pain in the ass clearing them to stay under 250 but nobody will actually ever successfully awox with it

uhhhh. How? If you can't make it work for your uber sized corp, don't use it. Where's the pain in that?

250 bookmarks doesn't seem to be very many if everyone in the corp can create them. Couldn't you give CEOs/Directors some options about who can create them, or some kind of moderation for BMs?

Will it be possible to save corp bookmarks to your personal list without visiting them?

Will these be available to use via the right-click menu in space once they are in our 'people and places'??

If not, pleaseeee put it there! I love the r-click to a bookmark menu!

In the current screen, double-clicking on a folder name opens that folder in a separate window, doesn't it?

As long as they don't break that, it's easy peasy.

Assuming they haven't already, of course...

Looking at the screenshot, there seem to be _two_ Tuxfords...

Are we dealing with multiple personalities, or is this a case of evil/good twin?
