Pot and Kettle meeting and falling in love?

I've heard some lovely tales this last week-end.

It seems Palas' Pontif of Piety, Odelya d'Hanguest, has had a recent falling out with everyone's favorite Jamyl high-heel lickers in PIE. Accusations of 'heresy' and 'having a sense of humor' have been lobbed in both directions.

Contracts have been signed, mercenaries deployed, and violence is afoot.



Merry-making aside I'd love if we could have someone with first-hand knowledge of the disagreement and details to share with the wider cluster?

Need to get everyone's story straight for the eventual backtracking and he said-she said post-mortem.

It was certainly a jarring change in atmosphere from art appreciation to declarations of hostilities. I understand that Stormcrows feel that they have been most polite by having a formal pronouncement at all, whilst PIE is of the opinion that it ruined a lovely evening and upset the hostess, who is not involved in the conflict.

Cultural differences, I suspect.

Well there's something to be said for formality. PIE tend to not like their unmentionables to be twisted thusly in front of others, though.

Well there's something to be said for formality. PIE tend to not like their unmentionables to be twisted thusly in front of others, though.



I tend to share the pragmatic outlook of my countrymen, on the other hand nobody's unmentionables have really been twisted yet. I look forward to receiving news from the front.

What does this say if PIE gives she who hired mercenaries a free pass, but devotes their anger to those who simply took a paying contract?

It may have something to do with her status and the Khanid. Relations have been sensitive so, if they felt it was necessary to rein in our own, I doubt it would be of the public variety. Most of the time, if we don't think another Amarrian is being appropriate, we tend to take care of that privately.

That can be anything from correcting each others' modes of address to executing heretics. It tends to be taken care of in a reasonably polite manner if it can be helped.
