intentional node crashing!

Everything goons do is against the EULA but you see we have dev friends according to some reputable EVE-O forum sources.

(I would take anything said on EVE-O with a grain of salt, game forums are notoriously terrible/inaccurate)


It is also against the EULA to listen to DBRB, it's poison for your sanity.

Eve cannot simply cope with big fights, and if people can 'intentionally' crash the node to get out of fights then this SHOULD be considered an exploit.

I mean when people 'know' that they can crash the node, it reallys states how unstable the game is.

real shame, but hey its been 7 years and nothing changes. And please dont give the tidi spiel its just as terrible as it was before. Waiting 30 mins for 'something to happen' DOES NOT improve game play or anything. In fact in those 30 mins you could of died and been podded and not even known about it.



Don't think that node was reinforced it was pinned at 10% with under 1000 in system.

....and they can't reinforce live time without kicking everyone in space out. So big flash fights like that are always going to be an issue.

Well CCP built a game where the side that fields bigger numbers (most of the time) wins, but they haven't build a game that can handle those numbers.
One side of the equation has to change or this will just keep on repeating.
So either change game mechanics to discourage blobbing or unfuck that ancient code. (both are probably more or less equally hard)

Hell, even WoW's servers can handle more load then most systems in EvE. Once we had 400 people beating on the same world boss and the server still didn't crash even though it was never designed to handle that load.(and in WoW you do a lot more than hitting F1 every few minutes/or hours depending on TiDi)

When was this?

I remember the T2 world bosses killing a server when it got really fiesty....or killing AV multiple times back when it was a two day slog to win.

Hell we killed our server fighting on the MC doors.

Which is why there needs to be a change in the way sov is taken and lost. Clearly the idea of everyone jumping into one system and crashing the server is not working.
