Suggiestion:

+30% Range +20% Activation time
-30% Range -20% Activation time

I get that ppl are passionate about change. I post here to plant seeds. You see your idea as is? Holy **** you win! So let's post, and see what the DEVs and our peers use.

I kind of like this idea. Could have some heavy balance repercussions, but it's interesting.

Would make them too good.

Kinda like the idea, only with some slightly different values.

Another one that would be nice is a script that makes it constantly hold a chunk of your cap in reserve, so it can jump instantly without spoolup, but doubles the recharge time

It would cause problems when someone in fleet has the wrong script in. Which gets a +1 from me.

Silly idea: Scrips that change which direction you move in.

So would you use the script that moves you 100km up and to the rear-left?

I am a huge fan of the MJD, and I think adding scripts to them is an interesting idea, but...

I fear that Batelle may be right.

The MJD script discussion needs to progress a bit further (ie. debating specific values) before I think we can get a consensus on "yay or nay." So by all means folks, if you have MJD script ideas, post 'em, and let's talk.

How about some rigs and/or low slot modules to help reduce the jump times, in line with overdrives, etc?

It would be great if it can jump, like "warp to within", to a selectable range of distance of 10, 20, 30, 50, 70, 100km.

I'd be for Artemis SBS-style MJDs, where you have to manually type in a direction and distance in spherical coordinates before it starts spooling.

If Chribba told you not to trust him, would you?

Except MJD's are currently balanced around requiring proper positioning and pre planning in order to use well. Simply being able to teleport on top of anything on the grid regardless what distance it's at would make them massively overpowered.

No, learn trigonometry.

I am currently away, traveling through time and will be returning last week.

So are nearly all of the suggestions on this forum. What's the problem with calling a spade a spade?

I'd be for introducing scripts, if the use of scripts introduced the probability for a vulnerability.

Sort of like it was in Elite: Frontier back in the day. There was a small chance that the jump drive would malfunction and put you on the other side of the galaxy.

Translated to Eve conditions, the vulnerability makes the ship lock on to a random active cyno anywhere in the Eve Universe.

Having part of your fleet vanish every time you MJD would be a nasty drawback. Plus popping up on a cyno somewhere in Eve might not go well for the ship that vanished.

For someone who is trying to escape from a fight, they might using the script with the highest chance of taking them somewhere else.

Now for the really fun idea. Trying to cause a MJD mishap with the intent of landing on a specific enemy cyno.
