No solo PVP in wormholes?

I decided to give a try to solo PVP in a wormhole. Took my stabber our and started traveling into the unknown. Wormhole by wormhole all I found that the residents would either try to blob me or get in their pos until I got bored and moved on. This happened for hours until I got tired of it and went in FW lowsec to get a gf. Got a solo fight in less than 5 minutes.

I really like wormholes but it either seems the WH PVP is either ganks or I imagine evictions.

Any advice?

Because there's no local people are only going to assume that you are some unorthodox bait for a larger fleet.

WH's are usually largely group focused as well, you may run into the odd Nomad in J space but most of the time you will come across corps and alliances.

If you want solo pvp stick to low sec as you are probably barking up the wrong tree here.

Fly a cloaky ship and gank ratters or indys, which I guess isn't what you want, but that's how you're going to get solo fights in WH space I think.

Solo pvp doesn't exist like that. There simply aren't any gates or other celestials allowing you to travel further, and the only way to really get along is by either gimping your fit in order to scan aswell, or to deploy a scout. It does works pretty fine if you can dualbox a cloaky scout and got some patience.

If you have questions on that topic though, feel free to evemail me :>

The only solo pvp my guys get is when they use cloaky tengus/lokis.

The mentality of whs is usually, where there's one there's more. I've personally had luck asking for 1v1.

There are ways to get solo PvP in W-space, but usually you will end up outnumbered. We have a corpmate who is very accomplished at fishing idiots out of their POS thinking he is an easy mark, only to be waking up in a station shortly afterward. When he has backup, he's adept at getting the residents so angry that they'll chase him blindly around the system trying to catch him, netting multiple targets for us :)

Be creative and make full use of WH mechanics. The more you know that someone else doesn't, the bigger advantage it gives you that they don't have. Also don't be afraid to experiment and take chances.

FIXED THAT FOR YOU. This isn't lowsec, where you just yolo through looking for someone as bored as you. Those systems are occupied by people that regard them as "home", people who are solely there to farm, and people who are having as much trouble as you to find ANY pvp, and thus can't justify leaving half the fleet home just cuz some hick from k-space comes in his t1 cruiser and wants to duel. But this is hardly unique to wormholes, eve pvp in general is more often about gank than anything resembling tactics.

I live in w-space specifically because of the tactics I can use to outwit my opponent, that I can't do anywhere else in eve. I can cut off supply lines, I can hide for hours and drop when they least expect it, they will never know my numbers or comp until I reveal them. K-space is checkers, W-space is chess.

Bring some friends and try it out, it's much more fun than frig duels. ;)

There's nothing worse than an EVE player, generally considered to be top of the food chain in the MMO world, that cannot smacktalk with wit and coherency.

There is solo PVP in WHs, but not really for T1 cruisers.

There is no Bob.

8/10 I laughed.

Solo PvP in Wormholes is like lap swimming in the Amazon river.

no solo pvp in wh's theres always someojne lurking in another hole... we made once an intresting manouver, we noticed that hole leading from static to our hole was on second stage of mass collapsing, (Not yet verge of collapse) enemy has outnumbered us 2 to 1 and was camping in our home hole so we deiced to try a very intresting trick:

we warped to home hole and started shooting their scouts so their fleet jumped from our home, and we jumped back in, and when they tried to chase they collapsed the hole and divided their fleet in 2 :D so it was easy pickings for us on the home side without a escape plan for the stragglers Pirate

Bad Jokes since -09.... Fly Safe! o7

Thank you all for your advice.

I am not really looking into killing industrials in a SB, however, I enjoy the WH mechanis such as no local and having to scan.

The frustraiting thing is to see how unwilling people are to engage even when I am im a ****** cruiser. And when they are they just come with a whole fleet with logistics...

They'll always assume you have friends, that's why. A T1 cruiser says nub and / or bait, and 99% of people with any sense will assume the latter until proven otherwise.

Have you tried asking for 1v1 in local? Most wormholers will honor the deal (unless you disrespect them).
Everybody has a ship or two that they don't mind losing.

Stealth Bomber with probe launcher is as close as you'll get, it's not really solo PvP though, more like ganking unsuspecting targets, but still great fun and no support needed.

Pick a cloaky T3 of your choosing, spare parts/ammo and a mobile depot.

Stalking prey in WHs has always been fun, if you have the patience to wait for a target of opportunity.

Read this blog for some inspiration.

Yeah, i wish people in wormhole space were more like people in null sec... You know, the ones that don't run for the docking port as soon as you enter local. Roll
