So I've been playing around with the new bastion module on my Kronos and started to notice a loss in DPS due to tracking. Anyone else have tracking issues? I have a lot of the recommended skills @4 or above. The fact that I can't match velocity / direction means I lose way to much DPS to just shrug off. Why did CCP even waste time developing something that kinda nerfs gun boats? Also why does the gallente t2 battleship lack in drone support? Isn't gallente supposed to use drones?

When I played around with a Kronos it tore kin/them rats to shreds at all ranges. You are either doing something wrong or you need those level IV skills to be at V. Also it fields a flight of light drones just fine, which is all the drones that a PVE gunboat really needs. You do know that you can switch between rails and blasters mid mission right?

The bastion module doesn't effect tracking....kronos actually gets a bonus to tracking

you are probably running a railgun fit. switch to blasters, Null L, problem solved.

I should buy an Ishtar.

or use a mjd, all rats switch to zero transversal, kill everything, problem solved

I was talking about how lack of maneuvering actually limits tracking (i.e. transversal velocity). I like most gun boat operators manage my transversal velocity, amount other things. Don't get me wrong I melt stuff all day long but that's not what this topic was about. I didn't realize Gallente specialized in drone defense as you're suggesting. Being able to change my fittings without a station is news to me and will require further investigation. Thanks for the info!

MJD does work but takes far too long to complete missions. I will look into blasters and null as that's probably a more attractive approach. Too bad the web bonus is gone :-(. Thanks for the info!

MJD Blaster Kronos melts face and hits out to 55km ish . My friend was using Kronos that had fed navy web, 1 TE and a few fed navy mag stabs. He actually uses an MWD but you can always have the MJD and refit with mobile depot.

You can get it out to 68km running two tracking computer II's w/range scripts and bastion. Probably break 70km w/faction TC's, although I have'nt tried that yet, might do that when I get home today Blink

Caution, rubber gloves and faceshield required when handling this equipment.
