There's no point to that comparison. DUST Bunnies can't fly kilometre long spaceships.

Why would we need to when all we need to do is land one shot within a 1km radius of the merc who is running/jumping/whatever and blow him to smithereens? I actually do have a DUST toon, and play a few hours at least twice a month. DUST mercs are going to come to rely one EVE pilots and vice versa, but much more so for the DUST mercs. You can't take a planet if you can't get there, and can't defend it from orbit.

Hey, I never said you didn't. Of course, in your type of fight, the Capsuleer would win every time. I asked for a fair fight, but, then again, it's still one-sided, the Dust Merc would win.

they just need the equivalent of SAM missiles :p
infantry can stay forever on the ground and hide in bunkers, we can rain down heavy fire upon them and scorch the earth but we won't win since we wouldn't be able to conquer the land vs infantry.

I know that there are no fair fights, btw, merely stating some facts (I wish people didn't treat me like I know nothing about New Eden. Not only do I play DUST, as I mentioned before, but I've done my homework AND I have a mentor who told me about EVE.) Anyways, again, thank you for your warm welcomes and I will see you all in space.
