Alas your poor Astero.. I know how you feel, though I had scrounged up a Stratios instead of an Astero.. And I escaped with 3% hull left on my maiden voyage into my first Ghost site.

I too learned my lesson.. fit 1600mm plating.

Does railgun ammunition come in Hollow Point?

Lesson learned indeed!
I am far from a Stratios - although that is my goal - to hack the living daylights out of highsec untill my skills and ISKies allow me to roam arround in one (a gazillion years by my last estimate...). Then brave the horrors of lowsec with it (where undoubtedly the ISK will flow faster - directly proportional with my tear-flow levels)!

Merry Christmas to you Xearal and hopefully your 1600mm plating will help you in making it also - wait for it - Guristas-free* !!!


*Or whichever pirate faction strikes your fancy!

What a happy and Gurista-free thread, I like it. Merry Christmas Nami - this morning I eradicated several of those rotten Guristas in your honor.


Actually they were in my way and going to die anyway, but I dedicate their slaughter to you :)

My Chrismas is always Guristas free, I live in Solitude.

Anyway.. I just farmed the LPs myself in empire space with my trusty ol' drake doing L4 SoE missions to get my strat.. actually had enough for 2, sold the 2nd one in Jita for a nice bit of extra cash.

Oh, and yes, my 1600mm plate is serving me very well, yesterday, I got my hands on my first high grade Ascension BPC, when I saw a ghost site in null for the first time. ( have done a bunch in high, so far got 4 low grade BPCs there and a metric ton of Villard bits and tools )

I love it when people pick themselves up and dust off the ship fragments that have explosively lodged into the sides of their pod! I have attempted to shove something into your stocking so you can get out there and do it again. (Check your contracts and do try not to die this time!)

P.S. I am actually a "true new person" - created the account in ...June if I remember correctly and been somewhat drifting in and out of it. But then Odyssey happened and I was like - AWESOME!
I wanted to be a stealth-bomber pilot first but with the launch of Rubicon I found myself embracing a new profession - Exploration! which as you can tell I very much like.
Also I like EVE - seems to me to be the best thing in video-gaming. Plus it just surpassed Dune as my favorite sci-fi! :P

THANK YOU AGAIN! means the world to me - now *cracks knuckles* - 17 jumps weeeeeeeeeeeee!

If anyone can tell me : if I ever find myself in a sticky situation again - what would be better - a microwarpdrive or an afterburner?
And also if you get scrambled means that you MWD won't be usable or?...

MWD is better. You can usually outrun the pesky Guristas, even if scrambled. The MWD will still work if you are scrambled, but some rats use webifiers too, which slow down your speed. Don't remember if Guristas use them or not.

Downside of the MWD of course is 500% larger signature radius, making you easier to hit and to scan down if a PvPer is after you. Also lose a lot of your capacitor amount. With that said, the MWD is usually better in my opinion when dealing with rats.
