T2 Shuttles

Level 5 Ship command required to fly. Able to send it to a destination station on auto pilot. Good for when you buy a new ship that doesn't have a cargo bay big enough to carry the shuttle home (and if your a skin flint like me and hate wasting shuttles and hate having to go back for it in an indy). Perhaps make their cargo bay 0m3 to avoid using them as unmanned couriers.

Half joking here, but why not?

would have loved to have had a shuttle that packages into a nice 100-200m3. Honestly in regualr game though, I hardly ever use shuttles. I travel between stations in speedfit rifters and condors, then once every few weeks go and rearrange them in systems. (usually meaning I pick a dozen of them up from jita and place them in my regular systems)

You can already send shuttles to a station on autopilot.

If you can't bring the shuttle back, why not reprocess it and bring back the minerals or just sell the shuttle?

Send it to a station on autopilot as in there is no pilot in the ship, not like the in game autopllot we already have.

And yeah, there are options. Sell the shuttle (or reprocess it) at the other end so you don't have to bring it back. Don't use a shuttle, just get yourself a rookie ship to go get your new ship in. Go get the new ship using an orca or something big enough to haul that home.

There are options and again, I'm being half joking to begin with, but I'd like T2 shuttles. I'm not sure they'd need any new graphics and it would be neat to send your shuttles back to your base on trips like these. I get attached to my ships (even those stupid shuttles) so reprocessing them or selling them isn't my best choice, even if

Can we load them with one concussion bomb set to proximity detonation on arrival? Twisted

I am currently away, traveling through time and will be returning last week.

I like the tiny-repackage feature better. Definitely easier to implement.

Although, if I had my way, I'd say that when using these shuttles, autopilot will automatically warp to 0. I would pay 250m for the troll factor of that alone, and I would never not-AFK in it.

t2 shuttle could be fun..

50m3-100m3
normal speed can be like 600-700m/s
alignment time close to pod align speed.
warp-speed can be like 10AU/s (so its not stepping on the xmas gift shuttle with 20AU/s)
higher ehp
smaller sig
immunity to bubbles.
innate 2 warp core strength.
cost is maybe.. 2x to 4x manufacturing cost of t1 shuttles. or maybe 1-2m which is like 10x cost of t1.

While your asking for the moon can it make me breakfast, do my PI, put on my invention and manufacturing and vacuum the captains quarters for me.

Even with the latest changes, it still takes too long to get places - we can't all spend an hour in front of the computer, just warping to 0.

Jump clones are useless if you're travelling to a fleet, unless the event goes for 20-24 hours.

We need something cheap and fast, I don't really care about cargo capacity. Warp strength +2 would be a bonus.

Now that's an interesting sort of take on it. I wasn't at all thinking of making them actually get places faster.

I'm trying to think how a T2 shuttle could perhaps allow jumping in such a way as to skip systems all together without the need for a cyno field. Maybe they could make a series of celestial phenomena that act like natural cyno fields and pepper them throughout space and allow T2 "Explorer" Shuttles use them to jump to. It could require typical jump drive skills to use and control range but because of how "weak" the natural signals are only these special ships could lock on to them and make the trip (preventing a way for caps to get into high sec, assuming some of these were placed in high sec).

The simplest functional upgrade would be to allow a cov ops cloak to be fitted and do cov ops portal jumping. Otherwise, just ask your friendly neighbourhood titan pilot. Role bonus 100% reduction in cloaks, 0 CPU and 1 power grid would ensure that nothing else could be fitted in high slot.

Another option is to make it a cargo shuttle, or a small sized industrial that is cheap and disposable.

However, just for fun, a shuttle with 1 launcher slot, 1 CPU, and 1 power grid would let us fit a festival launcher. Then you could give it a broken missile velocity and flight time role bonus.

I'd prefer fast, cheap, and just requiring Warp Drive Operation V (to account for the built in warp stability bonus I would like). Most shuttles have an annoying habit of running out of capacitor on long jumps anyway.
