Hotkeys for drones

Hi all,

Give the player the ability to assign hotkeys for groups of drones to launch them from dronbay pls.

I create 5 groups drones and give them the keys from 1 to 5 on the keyboard, for example.
Names of groups are not important, the main thing to know that what you have is a group.
Mechanics as in F1 F2 F3

1) Press the hotkey drones and they will cheerfully leave dronebay your ship and act according to the current settings .
2) If you lose a dron, you must be repeated pressing hotkey this group again, and next drone leave dronbay as before
3) When you press the hotkey another group, the first group must be abandon and next group will leave dronebay your ship

Controlling drones right now is like assembling a bottled boat with one finger you stuck in the bottle. It needs to be updated, bad.

and problem? you may use 5 hotkeys for general groups. If you need, you can use more hotkeys, I didn't tell about limits and how it can be make ingame. I think it's addon for inteface we need, it's only idea. If someone see other way for comfortable and faster using a drones - I glad support him.. In my opinion - currently drone interface is difficult, when you need change drones group fast.

F - attack if your drones is outside. Read first post again, writer.

Drones have been in dire need of a visit by the balancing team since before it was created.

Anything, literally ANYTHING, they do, even if it's selected by shooting spitballs at a chalkboard while blindfolded, has a 90% chance of making life with drones better.

To be honest I don't find it a problem, create the groups as you want them, launch chosen group then f to engage or r to recall. If you want to target subsets of drones against individual targets (as I always do) then it will always be a manual process...

Uhm... how many hotkey do you want? 10? 20? My drone boats have 6 groups of drones, my carriers 15+. Where is the point in that many hotkeys, or only 5 and I cannot launch all groups with a separate hotkey? Drone hotkeys for launching them are utterly pointless.

I would want that drones leave dronbay when I push a button. group 1, group 2. without mouses choose..

I thought about 5. Because it is HOT keys.

And I have to adjust my naming scheme so that the groups I use most are under the first 5 groups, right? Roll Or bind CTRL ALT SHIFT 1-5 to the groups?

I think bind will more comfortable. You select group yours drones, right click and select something like - get hot key combo.. And we will can change groups ingame depends in situatin on direct scan Shocked
