OK, adding to the list of people who'd like feedback. Meanwhile, you guys give each other some critiques and comments. Who's better qualified to comment than a fellow writer? Smile

Most writers only can judge how much other writers write the way they would do. This is why critics critic and writers write. P

Smile You're pushing your luck now Random. Maybe you aren't aware of this contest rule: "Any disrespect or abuse of a judge shall shall result in automatic ejection from the contest." Sorry, I might have forgotten to mention that rule earlier. Blink

Judging update: Scoring of the stories is now at 78%. We're getting close.

Does anyone else see Telegram Sam's name come up under the eve fiction "last posted" and immediately race to this topic, hoping to see that the judges have finished, only to be left with a sad puppy face?

Every dang time!

It's ok, I still love you Sam. :-)

Yes... Gorramit Sam you're such a teaseBlink

Quoted from Doc Fury: "Concerned citizens: Doc seldom plays EVE on the weekends during spring and summer, so you will always be on your own for a couple days a week. Doc spends that time collecting kittens for the on-going sacrifices, engaging in reckless outdoor activities, and speaking in the 3rd person."

Scoring results are coming in, we're still getting close. But we'll definitely have to do a quick round to resolve some ties. While you're waiting, why not start another story? Some ideas:
-Nanite repair paste infected by rogue drone AI.
-Capsuleer with a sinus infection and stomach flu, in his capsule in pod goo. What happens next?
-What would happen if you ever did manage to put a Giant Secure Container inside another Giant Secure Container?
-Holiday season in Sansha's Nation.
-Fiction contest judges abducted by Cthulhu. Smile

Nice one! I wasn't expecting something that developed in such a short space of time.
