Un-anchoring bubbles not possible

Hi guys,

I have "Anchoring" lvl3.

I'm able to anchor Mobile Warp Disruptors (bubbles) and they actually work -- problem is I cannot unanchor them.

* No matter how I launch them (self and corporation), the "Unanchor" option doesn't even show in the menu.
* Also doesn't matter if I r-click them directly in space or in overview
* A corpie launched and anchored a bubble next to mine - it activated after the timer - and he could unanchor it again.

Do I need a higher skill level for unanchoring?!

Cheers & thanks

Taiko

Thx for the effort, but my question was about un-anchoring. (;

Not in game at the moment, but if I remember correctly the anchor shows up at the bottom of the list when you right click and the unanchor shows up in the middle of the list. Also you must be within 5k of the center of the of bubble to be able to unanchor. You can not unanchor from outside the bubble.

However the skill to Unanchor is same as the anchor. So if you can anchor it you should be able to unanchor it. I thinkt he response the other poster was giving you is because a corp mate may have a higher skill and he can anchor a higher level module, which you would not be able to unanchor his because you do not have the skill. But if you anchored it and you are in 5k range from the actual disruptor and inside the the bubble then you should be able to unanchor.

The only other thing I can think of is if some sub skill requirement was missing. Like you need propulsion Jamming 3, 4, 5 depending on the bubble you are trying to unanchor, but still if you can anchor it then you should be able to unanchor it.

Side note you can always unanchor and anchor cloaked. You only need be visible to deploy and scoop. But you still must be in 5k range to do this.

Now we're talking. 5km :D
I tried to unanchor my bubbles from outside. Didn't even think of that.

... how the obvious sometimes seems to run in panic - awesome.

Thanks a lot.

Applies to both anchoring and un-anchoring.

Thanks a lot.

You have to be close to interact with an object, typically 2.5 km or 5 km depending on what it is. As a general rule: if you can't interact with it, get closer (if you are at 0 km, then something else is the problem).

I didn't think to mention that, because it is one of those things everybody assumes everybody knows.

Good catch. I'm just used to slow-boating to the center of the bubble (to the generator) to un-anchor. Didn't give it a second though.
