Primarily, the spirit of giving, caring and sharing, the way folks always seem to be in a better mood when they are with their families and the way that families are often closer during the holidays than they are normally, just things like that.

I know that's not the case for all folks and I understand, but for most folks it is and the brighter our outlook on life, the closer we are to our families and friends, the more happiness we have in our hearts, the better off we all are.

or at least, that's how I see it.

It would be impossible for me to make it an all day event since there are only a couple of us actually "doing it" and because of that, the original plan is to start at about 6 :00 PM EST (11:00 pm EvE time) and go until we either run out of gifts to give out, or fall asleep at the KBD...


I'll see if my helpers want to start a little earlier and I'll post the time here in the OP if they do.

I am actually pre-fitting the ships, each will be similarly fit according to it's race which is why, I'll be accepting the first 5 EVEmails of each race that I receive after DT that morning as entries into the Battle, the 6th EvEmaiof each race will be the alternate

The rules are fairly simple:

1. once fleeted up with the Battle host, do not drop fleet.

2. do not share the location of the Battle with anyone.

3. remain inside the Battle area at all times, if your ship is destroyed, you may stay and watch from outside the battle area, or dock up.

4. No POD killing (bring a battle clone anyway)

5. no targeting, or deploying of drones until the fire command is given

6. The fire command will not be given until all participants have a suspect timer to avoid Concord issues

Basically violating those rules will result in being disqualified, aside from that, the last Pilot whose ship is alive will be given the Plex prize

OK, a brief update:
first off, thanks to the Mittani for the awesome mention December 12, 2013 By Alizabeth at http://themittani.com/news/spreading-little-christmas-cheer

I never thought I would make news there, or anywhere else when I started this.


next, I have received several contracts so far with some nice modules and blueprints as well.
there's even a Tech 2 frigate that's been donated with a great fit on it, and many more items.

Currently, we have stuffed over 300 small containers with modules, BPCs, drones and other items and we aren't done yet.

Thank you to everyone for the donations so far, they are en-route to the event location now
