I completely agree, capitals have to be either for individuals (ie dockable) or for corp (multiple pilots, the corp as owner). Or capitals of both types.
Close thread. Terrible idea.

I was in lowsec a few days ago and suddenly realized, I'll never know if someone in a supercarrier logged off in that very system, he could even log in at any time, along with an interceptor, 20 tornados and a titan and then they could kill me. Shocked

Capsuleers in space should never be able to log off. Shocked

Stupidity should be a bannable offense.

Fighting back is more fun than not.

Sticky: AFK Cloaking Thread It's not pretty, but it's there.

No , as this will bring more harm than good

Small groups will have a hard time keeping their capitals alive , if the owner logs off , but bigger alliances would not have any problems keeping their caps alive .

also if this feature really worked i am sure that pilots will stay logged and keep their capitals cloaked , this will overload the server as all the capital pilots will keep logged while doing nothing at all .

How would larger alliances have less problems keeping their capitals alive? The large alliances would be resetting each other's caps, after all. And getting in fights over them.

This is not a catch-up mechanism for small alliances like racing games has. Its a way for the leaders to send each other off the track.

What if the capitals could be put inside POS shields?

"Using the caps quickly will be impossible, as they'll always be RFed." - Fair point.

your proposal and this answer just proves one thing: you have absolutely no idea what it is to own / fly a cap ship in eve.

as others pointed out to you, go fly one, then you will understand why your idea is just terribly bad

regarding the big blocks vs small guys thingy, just l2eve.

everything that hurt the big guy hurt the small guy harder, everything that helps the small guys, the big guys will be able to use it 10 time more.

the answer is simple: they have more man power to overcome the iceberg, or take profit of the change.
in fine , it's just a simple math problem is 10 bigger than 1? a 3yo can solve it

You have no idea what a closed thread is. I just had to respond so you didn't think I was going quietly into the night because of some comment you somehow thought was good enough to waste our time reading.
You are saying exactly what others have already said, just +1 what they say then. And I have agreed with them myself and asked for the thread to be closed (either by dying out because of no comments or physically being closed by a mod, the first is simpler).

You can log off a pilot in a capital and then the ship is invulnerable and invisible. Would it not be better if the ship stayed in space as a mobile depot, with 24 or 48 hour reinforced mode if shield it taken to 25%? Then you can find them, reset their shields, and force a confrontation (maybe it comes out of reinforced with X minute cooldown for jump-drive). Maybe all capitals should have this feature, and no longer be able to dock at all.
Password to enter pilot seat. People with sufficient standing can still refit from non-piloted carriers and can transfer to none-piloted titan clone vat bays etc.

What do you think?

First suggested this in this post. Though someone else must have suggested it before.

Leave a capital in space? Umm yeah no.

You would come back and find about a pile of large mobiles around it so that you can't jump out with something witha cyno.
