I'ma go ahead and say it's Bay Area Comcast cause I went to play hawken tonight and had double the ping i usually do, thankfully 120 is still playable in there :D

They def got something going on. Non-EVE things are running slower while EVE cant load any avatars.

Update.

So Comcast believes that a bot got attached to
he-1-7-0-0-cr01.sanjose.ca.ibone.comcast.net (68.86.90.153) 23.523 ms 27.496 ms 28.677 ms

(My traceroute ended there as well)

They will work on that issue and clear it up asap (so they said).

However mine gets to line 6

In the Bay Area as with Comcast. Okay so after 3 phone calls to 3 separate level 2 agents I got the agent who filed the issues with their "IT" department. Apparently that node is down fully so anyone who gets internet off that node IE Richmond, San Fran, San Jose etc and tries to connect to Eve is screwed.

He said they have no estimate when it will be fixed or even what the issue is. So we're in the dark folks.

Looks like most people in north America are getting blocked for some reason

E.G. if you go onto a open proxy like Hidemyass.com you can get into the site secure.eveonline.com

so my thinking is some firewall or routing is being blocked in that area

Im in South Africa and i can connect fine

my routing is going via London

Comcast... they are quick once you call them and tell them what t do.

Got off the phone with a tech in Washington State and he said he too is getting a timeout on TQ's ip They literally have NO clue what is going on and frankly it's getting frustrating.

Can we please have a Dev perhaps report this ongoing issue to a higher up at Comcast? This is now more than a regional issue and sounds like a bot.
