Hi all

I searched around on the forums and nothing quite seems to truly fix the issue
-I have a 2013 MacBook Pro Retina with the Nvidia 750M running OSX 10.9 Mavericks
-I've installed Eve both through Steam and as a separate download
-I run at maximum resolution / 'more space' desktop
-I log in in the launcher successfully after it updates and patches everything
-I click the Play button and it says 'launching'
-A new Eve icon shows up in the dock but nothing happens (other than the machine gets slightly slower)
-I can't shut the app down or shut the machine down without holding down the power button
-I tried to run it both with the standard security settings as well as the run software from anywhere setting for security, same result
-I originally had Kaspersky installed but then removed it after reading some of the comments and that didn't do anything

HOWEVER
-if I change the desktop to Best (Retina) 1440x900 and then run the launcher I can log in
-After I do that I can change the resolution to 2880x1800 and the resolution change works
-I then change the UI scaling to 150% and it is playable

So my question is, has anyone managed to get it working from the 'More space' full resolution desktop without having to change it to the Best (Retina)?

thx

I had the same issue, and followed the same steps to get a working client at full resolution.

I can now launch EVE from any desktop resolution and it works just fine. Can you not do the same? Did you try?
