In-Game Events and Gatherings

This year at the 23rd of December YC 115, the BIG Lottery invites to a party of special magnificence in memory of the seemingly impossible event that took place 6 years ago.
Around a similar date of the year YC 109 the corona of a phasing star shone brightest, not only puzzling many scientists but also scholars, religious leaders and any capsuleer who caught a glimpse of it gazing out into endless space. Its appearance and disappearance is until today unexplained and probably never will be. Whats is know is, that it was visible from any region in space but for the EVE gate itself and simultaneously from hundreds of light years distance which earned distrust in technology, cosmology, even one's own sanity. As magically as it appeared out of nowhere and a place unknown, so did it vanish again in the midst of March.

In commemoration of this event, which fortifies the possibility of the impossible, the BIG Lottery offers special prices and a chance for everyone to make the impossible possible and to be the next shining star in the Billionaires community.

Regular draws will be held as usual, at least one live chat draw will take place and all regular prices will be enhanced depending on sponsors.

Participation

To participate in the regular lottery, join the chat channel 'BIG games' and just buy tickets from 'Big Games' (Member of BIG), click on the channel info links for instructions or go to http://BIGLottery.BIG-EVE.com.
To participate in the channel draw, be present and active in the channel during the draw time, no tickets required (as a hint, your location in space might influence your chances in case there are too many active in the channel).

We appreciate donations of any kind for the special winnings.

Spaceships in the Battlship range, faction or T2
Spaceship BPC in the 100.000.000+ ISK range (will be given away in packages)
PLEX
ISK, sponsored ISK will be collected and turned into PLEX

To donate an item, create an Item Exchange contract to 'BIG Games' with the max duration of 2 weeks starting from the 1st of December (since 'BIG Games' logs on at the 9th and has a few days to collect). Contract location should be Jita if possible to make re-contracting to the winners and pickup easier.

To donate ISK, ALSO SET UP AND ITEM EXCHANGE, with 1 ore, mineral or whatever and the additional 'I PAY' amount you want to donate, otherwise you will buy tickets and the ISK is lost for the special winnings. Do not just 'give money' to donate.

I would ask for you to post your donation, so I can thank you and to keep track of prices, but since I cant confirm claims as a 3rd person from contracts, I am not sure how far to trust the EVE community with honest posts. - Well, on the other hand I just heard that during one of the biggest draws of over 600 active chat participants all were very well behaved, which gives hope ;).

Update:

The 1st of December has arrived ! - You can now start setting up contracts for Donations !

As a reminder, the BIG Lottery is the only none-profit lottery with 100% payout (100%+ actually from various sponsors). This service has been provided to us since the Beta by the player of BIG games, so a BIG thanks for that again, can't be said often enough!

Donation contracts, item (BPC or Ship) or ISK can be set to either BIG Games (member of BIG) or me (if you trust a forum post). Remember the 2 weeks duration.

Again as a warning: Do not 'give ISK' to BIG games, the player is no longer active in EVE and logs only on for the lottery draws, all ticket processes through the 'give money' option are automated, that way YOU WILL BUY TICKETS.

If you contract to me as a single person or organization (since I can confirm it), I will announce it here as an update under sponsors/donations.

If you just want to participate, buy tickets the usual way (see first post), if you want to advertise, please copy and paste the thread to friends and allies.

Hy, me again.

Just wanted to let everybody know that participation wasn't great so far - understandably due to the massive donations to the 'PLEX for Good' campaign.


So my hats off again to all those donating - EVE Community: Best Community !


Yet I do not fully want to drop the holiday draw on the 23rd and the BPC are still going to be added to the top price. Donations via contract can still be made to 'BIG games' until 24:00 the 10th December 2013. Since he officially has to post the prices by Wednesday on the website - that's the deadline for him.

Further donations - via contract - can still be made to me, I will add them in the top post so everyone can see what else there is to win. Those donations will be added to the 1st - 3rd prices on the 23rd and broadcasted in the channel.

I hope some supporters will still find its way here and are happy to help out. As I said, I will accept BPCs and ships (see top post) and ISK from 10 mil on, which I will fill up to a full PLEX in the end.

So go, donate, buy tickets and turn up on the 23rd.
