I need ideas about how to reap tears flying solo.

This is an alt. I can fly almost all ships. I hate frigs so no frig crap. Im looking at stealth bomber and proteus. I have read the guides, I am in a small corp and like it there but I need some thing to do when no one is on.

Pick some lowsec systems where people are very likely to warp gate to gate. Ideally people moving frigates or other low-hp ships gate to gate. Like on a lowsec system between a trade hub and 0.0, or a lowsec system between a trade hub and fw zone. Observe while cloaked, use a stopwatch and watch local to see how long it takes them to travel.

Fit cloaking, 8x wcs, smartbombing battleship.

Harvest tears.

Yeah, spelling is hard.

Also, ganking and smartbombing gates are easy ways to get some tears, but you could also hunt down people in shiny ships doing exploration. Plus, have we forgotten about ninja looting missions to get noobs to aggro in their battleships that they can't fly well? Ninja looters are annoying in general. Might be why I want to try it.

Something I have been doing lately on an alt is cloaking with Tempest in Data n Relic sites. Hide by the best can and smartbomb once they start hacking.

Been thinking of cloaky proteus or long point SB in ghost sites too.

Fit 3 warp stabs on your Merlin and go sit in a novice plex.
Everyone will complain. They may not be tears, but almost.

Time passes and it does not change.

There is no Tactics in New Eden, devs make sure of that adding what they call "Guerrila Style" clearly from the mind of someone who doesnt know anything about Guerrila Style.

When you think about the 4 ways of Siege, there is a game mechanic in place to avoid any of them to work. When you think about the root 3 ways of Guerrilla, there is a game mechanic in place to avoid any of them to work. So you are struck with the common basic lame ass thing every single MMO presents you with:

- A tank or a tank role, which is a mainly mitigation/avoidance/large hp style ship to solo bull fight or to "handle the heat".
- DPS, or DPS role, which is a mainly gunboat which dish it out more or less protected by the tank
- Repair or Support role, which is a support mainly for the tank but to a extent to the DPS.

This formation plagues the MMOs because it is the simples battle formation you came up with that can be assimilated and understood by anyone.

Eveytime someone come up with a load out or use for a ship that makes it go beyond the "Holy MMO Trinity", next patch it is "balanced out" to be reduced to it again.

The Holy trinity is what makes people so nerdly deppendent on dps power or tanking power to fight their fights. And whine out that DPS or HP of a given ship is OP or UP in forums.

So the only thing you must do is find out if your playstyle is stampeed fight, in this case get a tanking ship and fight on. If your playstyle is bursted surprise uncoutered damage, get a gunboat equip some jams and skill up for maximum bust. If neither fits, find someone on the two previous situations and offer your support.

The holy trinity wont die easly, so cant expect anything else from tactics and warfare.

Ship type doesn't matter. Just take whatever is said in local and misconstrue it as people being mad.

If you wouldn't mind, could you briefly elaborate what you mean by the "4 ways of siege" and the "3 ways of guerrilla" and what the gameplay mechanisms are in place that undermine these concepts? I'm trying to learn the game better and it would give me some more insight into the metagame. Thanks.
