Eve is a good game (well it was). My story, I like to mine and manufacture stuff, you know the ammunition and rigs and other stuff that allows you to do missions and pvp.

I mine in high sec, salvage my little pirate kills and have led a generally happy life, until about 3 months ago. What happened then you ask, it appears that ganking miners in high sec is the new thing to do. I guess all the PvP, Wormholes, Null Sec is boring or something (don't know never been there).

Not a day goes by that someone either attempts to gank my ship or ganks it, I have pretty much given up trying to improve my fortunes, I can't even bother to log in anymore. I know what a sad piece of **** I am huh?

LULZ IT'S PVP DOOD, GTFO IF U DONT LIKE IT

Which si what I am doing, I amassed about 1.5 billion in net assets since I started playing (woooo, yeah you all have tons more than me).

I just wanted to post some feedback on the gameplay for future people that may join. 1) mining in it's current state is useless, sure you make make some isk, but overall you will get ganked and make no progress. 2) CCP does not enforce the rules of a negative security status (if someone is -10.0 they should be annihilated right away when entering empire space, instead they are allowed free reign - no punishment for killing others - I guess they make more money off these people).

Anyway a word of warning, increasing of gankage in high sec or even null sec killed mining, and pretty much killed any fun I had.

To those continuing have a good time, but off to the biomass processor for me. 1.5b going up in flames, CCP no more money from me, maybe if enough of us quit in protest you will fix something, but I doubt it.

Don't biomass, come join my corp instead. Mine all you want, get our industry index higher and mine ABC's while i get more profession sites to run when i get bored of ratting.
Nullbear power to the max and no ganking, just be prepared to dock/safespot/POS when a neut shows up. All of this for a modicum of around 300M a month (which goes to the goons' coffers anyways).
Bring whatever alts you like! Since you'd be our first (full-time) miner and industrialist, you could even start a production chain and stock the corp and local market(s).

Never mind those silly New Order loons anymore! Message me if interested.

The whole idea is biomass and you have nothing to come back to. CCP can't send emails, [character name] come back and play with us.

Ok OP I can see your upset,

This is what to do. Get yourself a catalyst and go gank some other miner, you will feel much more better. Then that miner do the same and repeat all the time till there are no miners.

Then eve will collapse as mineral prices will scale through the roof and the end of the universe will happen and EvE will die.

hmm hang on a minute that didnt come out right. lets start again...

OP F£$K off out of EvE please. Big smile

Quoting "you will die" in EvE is fail Chars dont die in EvE. Unless you have a heart attack eek.

OP...

Your Mackinaw loss, was in a .5 system where CONCORD reaction times are the slowest, and in addition to fitting a small shield extender you had an empty mid slot. The fact you followed up fail by not getting your pod out in hisec indicates you were afk. Ultimately, fault=yours.

You seemed to learn something in then fitting and tanking a Procurer, but decided to take it to a 0.0 system, ostensibly thinking a single warp stab would save you from being tackled? Fault=yours.

In short, you are bad at Eve -- the issue is in the mirror, not in game mechanics or other players behavior.

Not quite how I might have stated it, but the premise is accurate...

only you can diminish ganking, either by think tank or by ship tank (use your head, or use mods)...

Biomassing simply means you let the gankers win, the suggestion about letting the sub expire is a more thought out suggestion and probably the proper way to go.

good luck.

In all seriousness....

What are you doing to get ganked so much?

Are you flying in known New Order systems without a permit?

And/Or are you AFK mining?

Do you fly a Procurer or something bigger/smaller with much less tank?

When you get ganked, do you move system, or stay where you were?
Can we offer him safe space in highsec ?

I had a look at the map. Hardly doable with a family of only two, but within the realms of possibility.

Ganking miners is not something new, it started several years ago. I suggest you do like me - learn how to PvP and how to defend yourself, and they will leave you alone. I joined a nullsec alliance and I have never, ever looked back. I even don't like mining anymore, I just do it because I need fuel/minerals. I hated the suicide gankers but now when I look back I realize that they were actually doing me a favor.

To be honest i see little excuse in your post and reasons why you are leaving
with some insight and little planning it is easier to avoid pvp than to find it and it is even easier to avoid what seems senseless ganks
it is even easier to avoid in most low sec systems
true i haven't played for 6 months and in a few days my subscription runs out
but i am not leaving because of the game , i kove the game the way how its works and how it is so player driven i really do miss it all and yes even the goons
but i just don't have the time anymore to play it

so dear OP truth is that when you lose a expensive ship it is not the end this game rewards the one who persist

i miss this game

I do not agree with what you are saying , but i will defend to the death your right to say it...... Voltaire

I have made it a mission of mine to find a lower traffic system out of the way someplace to do the mining (when the urge hits) after losing a couple hulks in high sec near Rens. Counted it as lesson learned, and move on. This has always been a game where there is some risk no matter where you are, and what you do. It is what the game is supposed to be. Just as in real life. Murder, and theft are illegal, but guess what? Some people still do it. It's life. That's what makes this game so special. It's not micro managed to make every little furry carebear happy like most all other games. It is brutal, just as life out in wild deep space would be if we all got trapped on the other side of a collapsed wormhole. I understand this can be frustrating, but if you "allowed" yourself to look at it as a challenge to make things better for yourself, the remedy is fairly simple. Just move elsewhere. Obviously "somebody" doesn't want you mining where you have been. And go somewhere else. The game offers us all a massive sandbox to play in. Just find another dark corner for yourself if a life of boredom is what you crave.

Good luck.

I like in High sec with this caracter, and in 7 years only once someone tried to gank me.

Something seems different huh? You must be doign something then? You are doign things that attrack that kind of behavior upon you.

IF you park your car with windows open in front of your house every day for several months, eventually it will be stolen!

Eve was Not made to stay in high sec doing solo activities, specially mining. The people ganking you are just the tax for staying in high sec. Its just a cost. You are not supposed to have large profits in high sec anyway

Want that to not happen, go mine in 0.0 within an alliance.
