While on the subject of missing devs, were did TomB go? i really miss that ugly avatar of his, as well as his nerfbatBig smile

GM Guard > I must ask you not to use the petition option like this again but i personally would finish the chicken sandwich first so it won´t go to waste. The spaghetti will keep and you can use it the next time you get hungry. Best regards.

I recall speaking with him one-on-one about the state of incursions, prior to inferno I believe. Last I saw of him :3

Such "supports" can and should always be dismissed instantly.

If a person cannot even do the effort of googling / common knowing / finding out for themselves, before claiming to know anything, they are most often already aware of being wrong.
Checking for the fantastic evidence of ALL the proof!!! (tm) can be a part of a greater slamdown, but on its own it works just as well as the casual "so no evidence, got it".

Of course, this can also be done for the humiliation effect, where you have an inkling that they may be right and have a point, but where you know they either don't have or are incapable of collecting evidence to support their case.
And it will never lead to any constructive dialogue.

They made a terrible fo-par referencing the features and ideas section when not only is there very few WiS threads in there, but the ones that are opened are closed as duplicates very quickly. I might point you to the first page of General Discussion instead, where there are currently two threads. One of which is one of the largest non-stickied threadnaughts to ever grace the Eve-O forums.

I'm not using that to assert that 'WiS' is the most requested feature blah blah blah, but it is talked about a lot. I could give more examples of why WiS is a popular topic, but that will do for the time being. I am not really trying to prove a point, just being conversational.

Well, I'm not contesting that it's a requested feature, and one could say that it's actually not a feature that is requested but rather a fix (improvement/overhaul etc), but the poster who postulated that WiS is the most requested not only did so contrary to my own experience, but also gave evidence contrary to the posters' own position when pressed for it.
Which is a bad way to show the truth of any claim.

Back when WiS was just an idea called "ambulation," I was set to become my corp's bartender. Well, a few of us had dubs on that job, but I'd claimed it first. Still waiting....

That's because most people are out playing the game and creating their own content instead of asking for CCP to create content for them. The WiS crowd is a special exemption to this.

You realise way back in 2003 people where sitting at gates trying to kill me, 2004, 2005 ad nauseam. It's 2013 and people are still sitting at gates trying to kill me.

You may call that 'creating content' but I call that "boring as", "old" and "identical to every other fps / PvP mmo".

It's not "emergent player content" ffs stop fooling yourself :). The developers create content and always have.

A few people posting feverishly in one thread is not indicative of widespread interest. It's not even indicative of it being talked about a lot. It's indicative of a few people having an obsession with a single issue.
