Mobile tractor improvements

The Mobile Tractor Unit has been pretty useful so far but I think there could be a few improvements to it.

Target Selection Behaviors

Currently the MTU grabs the closest wreck to it and draws it in. This is fine for some occasions, but on many others it greatly reduces the efficiency of collecting and salvaging wrecks.

- If there was an option to set the MTU to grab futherest objects first this problem would be solved.
- There could also be options to target by wreck size, or full instead of empties.

I think there are some other issues with it targeting behavior because currently two MTU will fight over wrecks instead of grabbing other possible targets. This "issue" would become more like a feature if there were options on which wrecks you wanted targeted.

Any thoughts... ?

These thigns have indeed been proposed before. But I don't think anyone has suggested making the tractoring AI customizable. Just having a couple priority choices that can be switched back and forth like target farthest/nearest, empty/full, and wrecks/cans would be really useful.

also could we have it so it can be launched for corp? and can we please be able to jetison it.

the fact that my own damn alt in my own damn fleet cannot event remotely interact with it annoy me as hell i found it amazing t launch one of these form my mach kill stuff and it would loot but when i entered the field with my noctis and couldn't loot the cargo nor loot the unit itself i became pretty freaking stupid and pointless my cargo was full because my mach was forced to loot the stuff and i had to leave the unit there while my noctis was empty ... tried to jettison stuff but the unit would take it back in mere seconds ...

so for god sake allow fleet/corp usage

Scoop the unit to cargo hold with your Mach - it will leave a container with looted stuff in space, grab it with your noctis. Retаrded solution I know. But hey, didn't you know that CCP developers don't play eve? Oh and god forbid you to think that they would even start up few clients and try to do stuff like... well 80% (that I guess would be fair assumption) of eve players.

Oh wow... they are working on it :D
This was obviously needed when Rubi was on SISI. Two tractors pilfering wrecks from each other was one of the stupidest thing ever.

Feels like making it target farther wrecks first require a damn 500 MB of code in assembler.

Yeah, those two issues make the thing virtually worthless for anyone other than soloers.

thx for the solution jake i didn't know it would drop a container upon scooping up so temporary i could just drop one with my Mach at the start of the room then pick it up before moving to the next one while my Noctis deploy its own to finish the rest :P

yeah i agree needs a deploy for fleet / deploy for corp / deploy for alliance feature .

possably a neet little feature where when you deploy one it shows in assets so you can leave it and warp to it at any time with in the 2 day life span, but also allow you to remotely see what each one has inside of it.

they need to give us multiple tractors.. like current one with 1 tractor tech 1. meta level 1-4 should have 2 tractors, and maybe tech 2 could have 3? price accordingly due to their role/use and vulnerability when used in pvp.

tech 2 with 2 tractor would be great! but honesty if it could just track faster i would be very happy :)

launch for corp would be nice, but fleet access is even more important.

Not being able to use it with an alt is pretty dumb.

option for grabbing large wrecks or farthest wrecks first would make a big difference too.
