but yeah, there end conclusion was that yes, you CAN fairly compare apples to oranges within a structured comparison rubrick.

the results took them 5 weeks, 2 of which were spent on spring break vacation down in florida

Exactly. EvE is a stats game, PvP is all about your character sheet skills.

SC is a reflexes game, PvP is all about the player's own skills.

Lion and a shark. Both apex predators but living in different worlds. No real competition either way.

I seriously don't get why people think SC will kill EVE... Yes it looks sexy as hell and the details are astounding. But like someone mentioned, they're so much different in many ways.
SC focuses on you, and your own skills, and dogfighting. While EVE focuses on team effort, politics, meta gaming and a more strategic approach to internet spaceships. Good luck getting those 1000 man battles in SC.
SC is the kinda game you fire up and play for 3 hours, get that adrenaline rush and log off. While EVE is the kinda game you continuously subscribe to year after year, spending sometimes hours each day playing.
EVE has one of, if not THE best community out there, compared to other games. And i highly doubt SC will get to the same level.
I'm betting you will be able to get to the end game in SC in a matter of hours even days, tops. You won't get the same feelings of satisfaction or fulfillment that you get from spending months and months completing a goal you set in EVE.

My point is, SC is an "arcade" style game with easy rewards and quick rushes. EVE is a "Simulator" game in many ways, a sandbox with more in depth gameplay and rewards. In a nutshell it all boils down to whatever floats your boat. And everyone who plays EVE plays it because they love the game in one or many ways and there's frankly no other game to even come close to competing with the same style of gameplay.

BUT... If SC turns out to be a sandbox, all in one server, with the ability to support 1000 man battles, with the same level of chaos and piracy where you find yourself constantly looking over your shoulder.. only then will SC truly compete with EVE.

I know this is troll, but somthing from me.

EvE is deep hardcore online space Excel simulator with npc showing in overview as small red cros, a statistic pvp game like somone other mention before, endless veldspar grind mode, good looking pirson cell caled WIS etc.


We all love these things in EvE, people still pay for it because this game is unique and we got fun from study few hour EFT etc, here also alot people who dont know EvE but they like games where you can play x years inside evoling space world.

Grafic ? is nice to see cool grafic, and we got awesome grafic, hovewer grafic here is just like one cheery on torte, just because is addon to awesome core game mechanic.

If it bleed we can kill it.
