Request for some advise: Mining mission - completed objective, but game doesn't seem to register it

Hi there,

This is probably a rooky question, but can someone advise how I solve the following gaming issue?

I have run a Mining mission from a Lvl2 agent.
Objective was to mine 7500 units (2250 m3) of augumine in a security level 6 constellation.
I was attacked during my first attempt and returned to base.
I returned to the game some hours later and first explored the area again with my frigate in case the NPC were still there.
As there was no threat, I returned with my badger Mark II to complete the mining job.
This was successful and the game acknowledges that I got the required amount ('Bring Item Objective'), but indicates that the 'Objective' hasn't been completed.

Any suggestions on how to complete this mission as I rather not quit the mission.

FYI, I did between the first and second attempt put the partial mined augumine in my 'Items' store on the station of the agent. Though put it back in my ship before heading out the second time to complete the mission. No idea if this matters, but I do find it strange that it is not possible to complete a mission in several attempts.

Most likely what happened is this:

There was a downtime between when you left the mission and when you came back. This downtime respawned all the roids in the mission pocket. To complete the mission you not only have to mine the required amount of ore, you also have to mine out all the roids.

Normally if you mine out all the roids that also fulfills the ore amount requirement, but if the roids got respawned you have the mine out all the new roids and you end up with more than needed, and incidentally completely useless, mission ore.

Hope that makes sense.

PS: don't run mining missions in a Badger. Get at least an Osprey, or better yet a Retriever. Eventually, if mining missions really are your thing you'll want a Hulk anyway.

I'll get on to it and complete the mission.
I'll also look into the other ship types as I am still orientating on what is good for what.
