Cald/Min faction ship ideas

Caldari/Minmatar faction ships. "Mordus Legion"
This will only be the layout for the battleship.

Doru

Caldari Battleship Bonuses:
5% bonus to Cruise and Torpedo Launcher rate of fire

Minmatar Battleship Bonuses:
7.5% bonus to shield boost amount

Role bonuses:
50% bonus to remote shield repairer amount
100% bonus to remote shield repairer range
50% bonus to Cruise Missile and Torpedo velocity OR 25% bonus to Cruise Missile and Torpedo explosion radius
20% decrease in ship signature radius

Slot layout: 7H, 6M, 6L; 0 turrets, 6 launchers
Fittings: 10250 PWG, 880 CPU
Defense (shields / armor / hull): 9950 / 8050 / 9900
Capacitor (amount / recharge rate / cap/s) : ? / ? / ?
Mobility (max velocity / agility / mass / align time): 118 / ? / ? / ?
Drones (bandwidth / bay): 75 / 75
Targeting (max targeting range / Scan Resolution / Max Locked targets): 90km / ? / 8
Sensor strength: 26 LADAR Sensor Strength
Signature radius: 420
Cargo Capacity: 700

Why six low slots?

CCP should add more NPC 0.0 space to open it up and liven things up: the Stepping Stones project.

I honestly don't know, I just kinda went with the Nestor sent up there. I'd rather 7H, 7M, 5L but I'm not sure if it be too strong then

Isn't Mordus Legion a caldari/gallente Pirate Faction. Not Minmatar?

I'd love to see a kings-of-missiles Caldari/Minmatar pirate faction. Which one? Well, we have Mordus' Legion, Equilibrium of Mankind and the Ammatar as the still non-playable factions. However, none of them (excepting Mordus' Legion, perhaps) would fit those 2 empires' combination.

Perhaps their bonuses should go towards full use of their missiles: damage, explosion radius, explosion velocity, max velocity, max flight time. I can picture a ship shooting very fast and powerful missiles. Many of them.

Being Caldari+Minmatar, seems like shields are the way to go; that would also define their asthetics (armor ships tend to have curved, featurless armors for maximun resiliance, while shield ships tend to be more blocky and pointy as they don't have to worry about those fragile parts being hit). They could also benefit from a Target Painter bonus, coming from the Minmatar.

is bad role bonus. It is much easier to just incorporate it to base hull stats.

EoM are Amarr ships that use hybrids, so that would be either Amarr/Gal or Amarr/Cald.

Ammatar also would be more Amarr/Min

I also think the ship I posted has a good deal of missile bonuses

i thought mordos was caldari run but used minmatar soldiers/prisoners in its ranks and thats why they were so feared (read the chronicle far too long ago)

The Rattlesnake has 6 lows, and is a shield tanking ship, so I'm not seeing an issue.

Also I think I'd like to see a 50% bonus to target painters as the special ability rather than the remote boost bonuses. Trade a low for a mid and you're looking good.

I want them to revert rapid light launchers, while we're making our wish list...

In general it'd be nice to have another series of missile-based faction hulls available. Right now, out of the six series of faction hulls, five pirates plus Sisters, only one is missile-based.

what i meant is that is doesnt make any sense as role bonus. Just set sig to 340 and remove that bonus to avoid clutter. SoE BS bonuses are designed in a way that you cannot use them all at once - thats why there are 5 of them..

Also as it is not a drone boat it should have 21 slot layout, consider adding medium slot for 7/7/6 layout to match other non-drone faction BS.

CCP have hinted the Gile/Snake etc might see a redesign towards missiles. See SoE thread for details. Very vague hint but was in response to concerns over it stepping on them

But those are the only shield tank drone boats in the game. Honestly if they do that I will be seriously pissed off.
