Now, I have linked and said a ton of garbage over the years in EVE channels without anyone actually being bothered by it - especially in the Ships channel (cheers from Hitomi folks) - thus it was quite a surprise to me when I received an official warning over something I have linked which offended somebody else which, according to CCP, violates the EULA

Now I don't disagree with CCPs approach in general but - use your ******* brains mates
Here's the actual quote to get that off the list

Now, prior to that linking we had a convo on TS which went a bit like this
"Align to new broadcast.... squad warps, squad warps"
And I'm like
"Could a man repeat that please? I'm don't really like taking orders from women"

Which somehow was taken seriously
To point out how it was meant I dropped the line above which translates to:
"Now, if you don't understand sexist sarcasm, what about racist sarcasm? *snip*

Several hours later I received a neat mail from CCP pointing out that I have linked something which violates the EULA
Since the only other criminal thing I have linked around that time is a song by the Kelly Family, I could only assume that CCP talked about mentioned picture above.

And that pretty much concludes my EVE Adventure for today.
I can only hope that CCP Support Staff gets it through their skull that they were being trolled by a player who exploited the Reporting function and that I'm not a white supremacist trying to recruit pilots for the Ku-Klux Klan :D

Hey, I also earned a warning once, when I posted a artistic photograph displaying full frontal nudity.

Of course, I won't do that again, and also didn't discussed it.

As former moderator and administrator of several forums, my advice is: never discuss his job with the ban button guy.

First of all, the moment he said that, she should have booted him from fleet, called him primary, and kicked him from corp upon podding. Uncalled for BS that has no place in any walk of life.

Second of all... 5% of the playerbase is female. Women are getting more and more into video games and nerd culture, in general. Why in the actual hell would anyone want to discourage that? I honestly don't understand the level of stupidity it takes to drive an entire gender out of a completely unisex activity.

Lastly... getting mad at everyone because you violated the rules and got in trouble, is petulant and stupid. OP needs to shut his mouth and GTFO.

If it is not coming across as sarcasm, then you're doing it wrong and should adapt your messaging to the receiver.

Also EV is true: derogatory humor rarely comes across as humorous unless the target (at least) takes it literally.
