Dear CCP. Please fix the launcher!

I've been having (and telling you about) issues since the last patch. It won't recognise that I am connected to the server.

I know other people have had the same issue, but you don't appear to be responding to the thread you made about Rubicon issues.

Can you please fix this crappy launcher, or just get rid of it so we can all play this game?

If it's a launcher issue only, try:
[eve_folder]\bin\exefile.exe
in your shortcut. I find it fixes launcher-related issues rather nicely.

Add:
/noconsole /triPlatform=dx9
if dx11 is also problematic.

Cant patch without the launcher any more.

Usually I run the game without it unless there is a patch.

You might want to try uninstalling and reinstalling from a fresh download.

Barring that you might be one of those lucky people who EVE stops working for and are forced to unsub.

I had a problem with the Launcher a few days ago and CCP Aporia sent me a direct link to the launcher download.



Maybe it will work for you after trying this.

Use a fresh up to date client download. Get used to having a somewhat recent fresh client stored away somewhere.

My experience says, that they may take a couple of weeks to fix launcher issues. An no, sadly they do tend to not communicate anything.

Remove standings and insurance.

CCP doesn't generally respond to tech support issues in the forums. That's what the whole petition/support ticket system is all about. Yes, it takes them a while to get back to you. But you will get back a response from someone at CCP who knows or has a chance to know what's going on, not from some guy in New Delhi reading from a script. Patience is a virtue. Sorry to hear that you're having trouble, but EVE works fine on all my machines (and everyone else I know's machines), so it's got to be you, your OS, some anti-virus, a bad install, or something.

Yes, they sold me a game, that their patch broke.

They decided not to support me with my issues with this game. They clearly don't value my £60 a month.

SLI still isnt working on dx11 so I was wanting to go back to dx9 without using the launcher.
