Freedom of speech does not extend into publicly owned and operated venues, such as New Eden. That being said, you were, and still are, free to use which ever derogatory term suits your fancy. The important thing to remember is that CCP is also free to ban you repeatedly. Obviously you don't understand that freedom does not mean you're free from any consequences. All freedom means is that your actions are not inhibited. Your actions were not inhibited in this case, as you were free to type(likely in all capital letters with terrible spelling and no grammar) the word(s) you did. CCP only reacted to your actions, instead of taking preemptive action, thus ensuring your freedom was not infringed.

No, I followed him past the part where Temporary Amnesia (the Character) was banned, but it sounds like he called out an actual group with the in game name 'faggots' as targets in local. And promptly got banned,

If that's the case, I can sort of understand why he'd be pissed off about it.
