For Rockets, Lights, and HAMs, is it better to use T2 ammo or Faction? I use all T2 in pvp, but Ive seen fits that want you to have both T2 and faction ammo. What are the differences? I can't really seem to find one, although some Faction has less range than my T2. Assuming all Kinetic.

General:

T2 high damage for ships bigger than you or tackled heavy with painters ( exception is high damage cruise which still does good against bs )

T2 long range for kitey rocket fits

T2 precision for bigger hulls caught by inties and small fast suff.

T1 for ratting and structures

Faction for every other situation

Explanation hint: missile ammo characteristics. And missile damage formula

Faction is more or less good-for-all middle ground. With Javelins you get less dmg, but longer range. With Precision you get less dmg, less range, but better application on small targets. With Furies, you get less range and worse application to smaller targets, but bigger dmg.

Ah, so faction is just a good middle ground then? Fair enough. I thought I was missing out on some grand strategy, haha

I usually carry some furies with me, you never know when you might tackle a juicy target, but 90% of the time I have CN Scourge loaded.
