Where to roam solo

I'm looking for advice of the best regions for solo roaming for finding fights, Low-sec specifically.

Of course there's the FW zones but I have been there and done that. What about other area's of low-sec? Are all the good pirate corps, Tuskers etc still to be found in Molden Heath?

Protect me from knowing what I don't need to know. Protect me from even knowing that there are things to know that I don't know. Protect me from knowing that I decided not to know about the things that I decided not to know about. Amen.

Molden heath is FW pretty much.
Real lowsec is full of hotdrops and battleship gangs and stuff like that, not an interesting place for solo.
What youre looking for is 00sec, thats fun.

I live in nullsec, the pvp there is terrible. 99% of potential targets are either cloaky, nullified or both, and no-one wants to fight. what I wanted was a place to install a clean clone for solo low-sec frigate roams. Lately I have been re-reading the following blog.

Flight of Dragons

Reading this first inspired me to start playing Eve over a year ago. Is this sort of gameplay dead these days, or is solo low-sec roaming in frigates or cruisers still viable.

You can find solo fights in lowsec, but they will be few and far between.

Good OP;

I wouldn't use blogs as my inspiration. Eve is long periods of boredom with a few moments of terror. The blogs generally don't reflect this.

If you are going to solo in eve the first thing you need is a good book--ever read Shogun?

Take your ship (and book) to an FW novice plex and sit and read til your screen gets a flashing thing on it.

The problem with solo roaming is it takes too much attention and you will just run into a gate camp anyhow.

Of course, I never kill anybody, but at least I don't waste hours trying.

Finding solo fights is easily, finding 1v1s is hard.

Went 12 jumps deep into null from lowsec the other night. We were in a Brutix and Harbinger Navy Issue. Juicy, fat slow targets that can no longer run. We literally saw one guy scanning for anomalies. Nothing else. Null is terrible.

The best place to find solo pvp is FW plexes. Maybe a known pirate system like Ammake or something, but your definition of solo has to be very loose - since everyone will be boosted. Just my opinion.

Give Citadel, Essence, Lonetrek and Black Rise Lowsec a shot. All are situated close to Jita.
This also enables you to visit the entrysystems to Pure Blind (EC-P8R) , Tribute (M-OEE8) and Vale of the Silent (P3EN-E).

This is why i made a new social network site called "1 vs 1 me" - It allows you to find local singles in your region. You can also be picky about your options...

"I am a single Caldari pilot looking for an Amarrian for long roams in Black Rise" You can even indulge different pilots in their interests.

For example -
I do not want someone who is into Falcons
I do not enjoy rough linky fights
No boosters please.

This allows us to narrow down your search and ensure you find the right person. We even offer a compatibility test.

Lol at sean , good ideea though :p

But on topic, the others above me are right, nowadays the only solo action u can find and find fast is in the fw warzones but like others said true 1v1 are rare because even when u think its 1v1 the enemy has links or a blob near by. Still i recomend u hit the amarr/minmatar war zone because its smaller and easier to find targets, also better for 1v1 in my experience

Just because i am blond does not make me stoopid !

Black Rise was very good for finding 1v1 fights before TEST joined. Just wait until they leave and the blobber mentality will go away.

I can usually find decent 1v1 (no links) fights in Martoh, Akidagi, Enaluri, and Hikkoken nowdays. You just have to avoid large hubs such as Nenn/Innia/Heyd/OMS as those will be perma-linked.

Harder to find (fair) fights in RvB than in Black Rise.

88 solo kills last month, which obviously does not include all those where an NPC whored on the mail, or all those 1vs1s which I lost.

So no, they are not few or far between.

my friend, solo you can be, but your oponents alone they wont be, learn to play with that, never expect a honourable 1v1, be prepared to be blobed from time to time and falconed often, 1v1 is not dead, but more often is 1v X+V+Y+ etc..

start by FW space, special near the main hubs

My friend Transmaritanus (https://zkillboard.com/character/90273500/solo/) solo'd in small ships out of Lulm in Heimatar for a while and had pretty good success with that.

Non fw low sec is ****.

0.0 in interceptors might be alright? because normal 0.0 roaming usually ends in bubbles and falcons.

The amount of posts that get posted in these threads that are wrong and only serve to disincourage people more…
1-low sec is not full of battleships and battleships. Most are in cruisers or below.
2- low sec gates are very rarely camped. And usually easy to evade.
3-solo pvp is very much a valid play style ofc u need to stick thru the bad times while u get to knw your engagement profile and how the locals operate in the area of your choice. Fw zone provides best opportunity for solo.
