OP deserves exactly what he got for his serious lack of judgment.

Regardless of if you get it back or not don't talk about it here afterward. Just let this thread fill up with trolls. Personally, I don't care if you do get it back or not. If you don't, that sucks but it's a lesson learned. If you do, then it's an act of kindness and that's okay in my book. Either way it affects only you.

Yes, the point was to get feedback on other peoples experiences so I can do something while I wait the response. I don't want to take any actions in game so they can get to the log where it was lost faster. If the item is lost, then it's the reason I bought the collectors edition gone, which probably won't need to be a lesson learnt because I likely won't continue playing because of that loss. I understand that no one cares about that, I was just looking for other peoples opinions and stories.

Threatening to quit won't help. If they don't replace it, just earn the ISK for a new one. If you stick around and play the game you're going to lose a lot more than a few billion in ships, modules and other implants. I don't want you to quit, I want you to stay and enjoy the game for years to come. There's a song about things like this, search YouTube for HTFU.

Nono, not quit and it is in no way a threat or intended to be a threat. (I word things quite badly). I would probably take a long break and cool down from the frustration and I have played this game in the past a long time ago and had a 25million SP character and I know how amazing this game is. This is just a personal thing as I am autistic and small things like that bothers me a lot. I have had many losses in the game and it has never bothered me, including a providence to a 300 man fleet. It was amazing and the emotion that made you feel was unexplainable. However, the difference here is this was a mistake that does not affect any other player and the implant did not work in the first place.

I'd support a mechanic by which anybody that unplugs the implant loses all of their skillpoints.

Not really, the art of changing cache is unknown to most for good reasons.
IE most people never need it.
So not dumb, rather unknown.

I would recommend anyone new to forums to make a thread like this so that all the mean pinheads identify themselves in short order.

I can see lots of locator agents being used to gank the OP's ship to see if he got his golden pod back.

Pretty sure it even pops up a warning asking if this is what you REALLY want to do.

If you read the post, with this particular implant, it also pops up a warning saying you lose it on death which you do not and I have read several times that you can plug it in and unplug it at will.

I know that, I plugged one in myself...but I also read before they were released that they would NOT be destroyed upon death.

Nobody said anything about unplugging.

I think that was a bad move to make and will be sorely disappointed if it gets reimbursed.

So you will be disappointed if I get my item back? Everyone makes mistakes and this mistake did not affect any other player in the game and will never affect any other player since they cannot loot or gain it anyway. That makes no sense. When I first plugged in the item, it did not work, so naturally I just tried to fix it.

I used that argument when I jumpcloned from a station already containing a jumpclone to another station. Aparently that kills clones, which it wont if i jump to same station... I got my 1.5 bil clone back and a warning that it was a one time reimbursement. So escalate it as it doesnt affect anyone but yourself and no one was involved in you losing it. I hope you get it back as its clearly meant to stay when you have plugged it in. (Why it is present on all clones no matter how much you die)

Fly to Jita and buy some double sided sticky tape or just recycle any minmatar ship.

Dock up and change your screen to walk in station. Go down the steps on the left and wrap the sticky tape to
the outside of your pod.

Fly to gallente space to any 0.5 system

Warp to a belt and repeatedly bang your pod against a omber roid (golden dust).

Bingo golden pod

Quoting "you will die" in EvE is fail Chars dont die in EvE. Unless you have a heart attack eek.

Thanks for that, yeah I havn't got any kind of one time reimbursement, I don't think I have ever had a reimbursement which is good. Thank you for sharing that.

"Time to plug in my golden pod" *whistles innocently*

"Hrm, an OK/Cancel box, better click OK without reading it first"

**Warning, you are about to plug this **** in, and like we've told you on this screen with every implant ever, oh and also rigs, **** is effectively destroyed the instant you plug it in, so don't unplug it!** click

"Well, my golden pod isn't showing up, better not do a google search or perform the most cursory look on the forums. I know, I'll just unplug it!!"

**derp**

While I empathise with you (we've all done stupid things at one time or another) I sincerely kinda hope you do not get your implant back. If you do, it sets the precedent that any stupid action one takes can just be reversed by gms because "I didn't mean to".

I've got about 60 billion isk in ships I'd like back please...didn't mean to lose a single one, really.

The difference here, is this was the item I purchased the collectors edition for. It's a cosmetic item with no stats. The loss of this item did not affect any other player in anyway and never will, unless they put it back in to my assets which I did not ask them to, I asked to to replug it. It will not affect anything from any other player, if it did, I would not have even asked since I am well aware of how EvE works.
