Golden post lost when removing.

So when I put my pod implant in today, it didn't work. Even in space (I know it doesn't work in stations).

So I unplugged it to find that it got deleted. I filed a petition and am anxiously awaiting the answer.

So I turn to the forums for opinions on whether I will get this back or not.

Based on your experiences with GM reimbursement because I know CCP have strict rules on reimbursement and I also understand why, but I am praying they make an exception for this. Since it is one of the main reasons I bought the collectors in the first place.

Also, I know there is a warning but there is also a warning when you plug it in saying it is lost on death which it is not, so I assumed the forgot to fix the warning issues with the pod.

I really hope I can get this back.

Thanks for any replies!

you lose an implant if you unplug it.....

Pretty sure it even pops up a warning asking if this is what you REALLY want to do.

Also, mine still doesn't show up golden but oh well.

Don't plan to be in my pod for long.

If you read the post, with this particular implant, it also pops up a warning saying you lose it on death which you do not and I have read several times that you can plug it in and unplug it at will.

I'm only speculating here, but I think it's pretty much guaranteed, that you might or might not get it back.

Did you also pull out some of your brain when removing the implant?

I know that, I plugged one in myself...but I also read before they were released that they would NOT be destroyed upon death.

Nobody said anything about unplugging.

I think that was a bad move to make and will be sorely disappointed if it gets reimbursed.

So you will be disappointed if I get my item back? Everyone makes mistakes and this mistake did not affect any other player in the game and will never affect any other player since they cannot loot or gain it anyway. That makes no sense. When I first plugged in the item, it did not work, so naturally I just tried to fix it.

The golden pod doesn't update until the game wants to reload the pod graphic, so you gotta jump in and out of a ship or relog. You should have been patient! I think the GMs will give it back to you, though, since it's just a little mistake

Thank you for the first normal response. Yeah, that is my hope, thanks a lot! It has made me feel a lot better about the situation.

So what you really wanted was someone who doesn't actually have any say in the matter to hug you and tell it's all going to be alright.

No, I respect someone if they say something, like "I don't expect you to get it back so don't get your hopes up because back when I.. ect"

Not the obvious troll responses here. Such as the first. Or yours which added nothing to the post at all.

Regardless of if you get it back or not don't talk about it here afterward. Just let this thread fill up with trolls. Personally, I don't care if you do get it back or not. If you don't, that sucks but it's a lesson learned. If you do, then it's an act of kindness and that's okay in my book. Either way it affects only you.

Edit: But if you do get it back, and you talk about it here I hope they take it away again to teach you not to discuss details of petitions.

Yes, the point was to get feedback on other peoples experiences so I can do something while I wait the response. I don't want to take any actions in game so they can get to the log where it was lost faster. If the item is lost, then it's the reason I bought the collectors edition gone, which probably won't need to be a lesson learnt because I likely won't continue playing because of that loss. I understand that no one cares about that, I was just looking for other peoples opinions and stories.

vOv it's true though, GM policy is to use any reason they can to reimburse. they're people completely capable of understanding a simple mistake. why are you being an arse?

Let me give you a point of advice. If the GMs do reimburse you for your mistake, don't come back here and boast about it. Don't even say it. In fact, you might want to just lie. Complain that they wouldn't do it.

Why shouldn't you tell us? Because everybody here who wanted you to 'HTFU' and 'learn your lesson' and point and laugh will then turn and cause a big fuss about it because you ended up getting your way.

At the very best you'd be causing unnecessary stress for the GM team who just helped you out. At worst, you'll ruin it for everybody else who makes an honest mistake like that because the forum warriors might get CCP to consider a policy change on the matter, or more likely, a reversal of your reimbursement.

In short, if things work out well for you, keep it to yourself.

Threatening to quit won't help. If they don't replace it, just earn the ISK for a new one. If you stick around and play the game you're going to lose a lot more than a few billion in ships, modules and other implants. I don't want you to quit, I want you to stay and enjoy the game for years to come. There's a song about things like this, search YouTube for HTFU.
