Dear CCP,

EVE Online is available in english, german, russian and even japanese, but not in spanish. Considering that spanish is the mother tongue of more than 400 millions of individuals and more than 500 millions of speakers, being an official language in more than 20 countries through all of the world, the spanish community of EVE wonders why we don’t have the possibility to play our favorite game in our mother tongue.

Maybe the projection of the spanish community within the game is not widely known because many people tend to integrate because in space, frontiers are meaningless but there is a lot of people that finds a big difficult playing EVE because they are not familiar enough with english.

I have been trying to promote EVE through all of my friends and while some of them ended playing, most of them found that english was a major issue that discourages them to continue playing after the trial. Despite of the difficulties that can arise because of the lack of knowledge in english, there are many alliances and corporations that are based in spanish-only players, including major nullsec alliances, wormholers, etc.

I think we deserve to have our favorite game translated to our mother tongue. To facilitate the access to this amazing universe for many people that nowadays is not able to make it through the login screen. I think that our community has an enormous potential to grow further.

Please consider giving us the chance to enjoy the universe in our mother tongue.

Regards,
Migui

Spanish is the second largest language after Mandarin, with 406 million native speakers. During the last decades, sustained economic growth in the Spanish-speaking world means there is a burgeoning middle class numbering dozens of millions that will be looking to consume entertainment marketed to them.

I am one of them. Many of us were avid gamers when we were young and spent many a night in the local cybercafe throwing long LAN parties with our friends. Now that many of us are adults with disposable income, there's a huge market for spanish-speaking content by any company that makes the leap. Being a language teacher, I'd like to help in any way I can.

+1 Buena Idea!

Spanish is indeed a huge language, so a Spanish localization of EVE might help CCP achieve a greater market penetration in South America and in Spain, and perhaps (I'm afraid I'm not an expert in geography) parts of Africa as well.

+1 Can it be said that EVE is a game worldwide?, I think not to include a language spoken by millions of people, many of which magnify the gaming community. It's time to do it ...

+1¿ Puede decirse que EVE es un juego de alcance mundial ?, yo creo que no hasta que incluya una lengua hablada por millones de personas, muchas de las cuales engrandecen la comunidad del juego. Es hora de hacerlo...
