Double SP training affect alts?

Is double SP training until 1.6M skill points still in affect? I made a new character on my account and he's training at the same rate my main was after I remapped him. I thought it automatically trained double to 1.6M, but do I have to enable anything for this to happen?

Clearly I'm doing something wrong, or I don't know something. Any information on this would be greatly appreciated.

Double-rate training was removed when the learning skills were removed, because everyone was given +12 to every attribute.

Yup I just found this out the hard way a few days ago on my alt. I deleted an old alt that started with 800k SP or so and started a new one thinking I still get double SP, and you don't. Kind of sucked I wasted that character's SP like that. But oh well that character had enimies I don't want to be associated with anymore.

On the plus side no more learning skills, and we have remaps now.

Actually, with +12 to all attributes you get 2.5 times the previous training speed. See the dev blog I linked.

Part of the reason is you no longer have to train learning skills first.
