Is this list still active?

There is no need to move stuff, because now you can push it!

After some time away, the Massive Bulk Trade list is back. Thanks CCP Gargant for unlocking the thread.

We welcome all traders and offer an alternative to the "Bulk Trade" mailing list.

How is a bulk trade list with less rules a good thing?
I already get fed up when someone selling 1 of an item or someone's selling "some stuff" in some badly laid out mail. How does your mailing list provide anything better than the popular "bulk trade" list?
Sell it to me...

I'm almost tempted to stick up a website for bulk selling.

Slap in a C&P from your inventory/assets list, add a price for each thing, then let people manage it from there. (see what's available, mark stuff as sold so people can see, without spam, etc)

If SSO was available, I probably would do it. Just don't want to have to manage user accounts.

Woo! CSM XI!

Bulk Trade has in the past had one problem, yes it has a lot of users however moderation is so strict that it puts people off. It even went so far as the owner charging people unbanning fees when they were banned for trivial matters in the first place. People would sign up and send their request to the mailing list only to be told it is in the wrong format and that you are banned for not following the rules. I believe that a less strict system may do just as well, not to mention that a monopoly on anything is rarely a good thing :)

Selling 1 item of anything in a bulk trade mailing list is rather silly, when the purpose of the mailing list was to allow people to shift larger volumes of items easier. This would be the case for both Massive Bulk Trade and Bulk Trade mailing list. This may be a fool's hope (especially in EVE) but having an option where you do not get punished for not following whatever arbitrary rules set by the owner appeals to me. Instead of having to specify you may only post x y and z under circumstances a, b and c, allowing people that use it to use their own reasoning / judgment in determining what is acceptable. I will not go listing do's and dont's more than I have already done as that would defy the purpose, but I for one like the idea of an alternative that is more flexible than the current bulk trade mailing list.

As always whether you participate or not is your choice, but having more alternatives to choose from is in my opinion not a bad thing.

I've never encountered the whole "trivial matters" thing. I see a lot of people trading there and I've bought and sold from the list many times.
And in this case a monopoly is a good thing, since if I'm selling something I want to reach the largest audience possible. Having 15 lists it would be an issue, but having just the one, I know I'm reaching my whole target market.

Those "arbitrary rules" are what stop me having to dig through pages of junk to figure out what is actually being offered. Now if you don't list do's and dont's it would seem more strange to me for people to be banned from your list, since you aren't telling them what is and isn't allowed.

I'll give it a chance though and join your list for a bit and see what type of stuff comes through. Honestly though, I understand your want for flexibility, but you still need to put at least a little structure in place and clearly define boundaries. You also need to put in some assurance that you won't just "go away" for an indeterminate amount of time. Building up a list like this is no good if you just disappear and allow it to collapse, as next time people won't bother coming back.

Daniel Plain is not currently subscribed to this mailing list, so either you're lying or you are using an alt. As for serious offers posted, I have seen serious offers posted in this mailing list. Trolling is an excellent way to keep this thread near the top, do continue :)

May I ask: What is the bulk trade mailing list?

The original bulk trade list is: http://wiki.eveonline.com/en/wiki/Bulk_Trade_%28Mailing_list%29

Some people have problems with the way it is run. Like the OP.

If you're banned, at least nominally for breaking the rules of the list, you can only rejoin by paying a fee to the people that manage the list.

bulk list is full, so another list is more than welcome to me.
