Issue was still there after update. (black ship/blueprint icons) Cleared cache using launcher and still had the problem. Went on and cleared the cache manually (settings and cache folders). This seemed to fix the problem. Thanks CCP

Hope this helps someoneLol

EDIT- Can run game with DX11 now without the flicker. Couldnt before. Dont know if that is helpfull or not.

Oh, Do go on... no seriously ive got nothing better to do then listen to all the petty arguments and feeble trolling attempts...

The sad thing is i'm not sure if i'm telling the truth.

The issue appears to be fixed, on my main client it took only clearing the cache from the launcher while on my secondary client it took clearing the cache from both the launcher and in game. This appears to be linked to the fact that I was "viewing" those images in the market screen when I cleared the cache. When I switched to another market tab and cleared the cache again the problem was fixed. Thank you for the attention paid to this issue.

Great job guys.

I didn't report the issue once I'd found out so many others were having the same problem, no point in cluttering up the boards.

Intel(R) HD Graphics Family, if that helps

Thanks again.

I worked my way through all the fixes suggested here, but for me the game remains unplayable.

Flickering screen and boxes once undocked, icons disappearing, wrong icons in chat windows and overview, the "selected items" box becoming a blurry line across the screen, objects in space creating irregular shapes, shadowy ghosts of boxes long closed appearing at random, and many more problems. It seems to be worst while accelerating or decelerating in warp but happens also when stationary.

On a positive note: viewing planets in planetary mode is nice and stable with good graphics.

I have downloaded all the latest drivers, verified I have Active X 11 on my machine with DxDiag.exe and have cleared cache every time. I am still getting ships and modules (not all just some) that refuse to render in anything other than a scrambled image.

I am running windows 7 64x, HP Pavilian dv7 Laptop with Active x 11 running and I just updated all windows patches to make sure I have the latest drivers and patches. My graphics card appears to be a generic Intel HD Graphics 3000.

In Settings, it is saying I can only run Eve in DirectX 9 mode, even though I have DirectX11 installed and it is reporting as not having any problems.

This only effects some ships and some modules, even after I clear cache. I thought it was only new ships like Stratrios but quite a few others are effected as well.

Stratios has jumbled icon
Hurricane has jumbled icon
Drake Does not
Tornado does Not
Helios does not
Viator does not
Raven Does
Exequror has scrambled image
Gila does not
Scythe has scrambled image

I can give you a complete list if you want....but hopefully this limited, random list will help.

Please verify that you have the latest drivers for your video card.

Hi Jack,

Can you verify which method you are using to clear your cache?

Here is one method:

1. Start the Launcher
2. Go to the Launcher settings
3. Go to the "EVE Client Settings" tab
4. Press the "Clear cached client data" button

It seems the period at the end of the sentence made it into the link. Either I messed something up when copying or there's a bug in the forum software - I'll look into this. My apologies!

This is part of the problem for the past number of years that we the player base have been having. We report a problem and then just get ignored. I wasn't lying or trolling (which by the way is a bannable offense iirc in this section of the forums) but I certainly got totally ignored by you when i reported the link you posted was a dead link back on the 20th and even thou you posted in this thread 6 more times you never once checked to see if there was something wrong with the link. Stop ignoring us when we tell you stuff, even if we are wrong (or right) we deserve to not be ignored.

I'm sorry I missed that and apologize.

We generally spend more time on fixing the issues and adding features than we do on the forums. Personally I am trying to be more active here and answer any questions that I can, but I have to balance that against my coding responsibilities. We also rely on helpful players to jump in with answers - in this case I thought the issue was resolved by the time I noticed it.
