Worst post "Update" bump ever?

Looking at Eve-Offline, it appears that this is turning out to be the worst "expansion" ever.

Considering we also have had a major blob war is going on in 0.0, where are the numbers?
Has CCP gone to the Alt trough one too many times? Even offering 99 cent alts does not seem to be having the desired effect.

So, will CCP ever wake up to reality they need to bring in new players, not just milk the old addicts for ever dime they have?
Time will tell....

I resent that. I'm an old addict and the expanion didn't bring anything for me either. The only positive would be the drama around POCOs. That isn't much, but that's how some expansions are.

What are you talking about? Looks to me like TQ has more people on it than it did this time last year. The only time where PCU was higher was shortly after the summer expansion, which is normal because more people play in the summer.

The action nowadays is in the Features & Ideas forums when they preview the expansion's changes to the playerbase[1]. Lot of blobs v. devs in TiDi threadnaught fights.


[1] By playerbase, I mean those who actually read F&I.

I wouldn't know.

I've been playing games on my Oculus Rift since the expansion.

I will admit I have logged to update my skill queues and look at a few orders.

But beyond that I have lost all interest in EVE.

I mean its not really EVE's fault other than they really didn't add that much content in that last patch.

I wouldn't say EVE is dying... Its just stagnating.

Once the ship re-balancing is complete, CCP will be able to focus more on developing new stuff.

Personally, I think trying to produce shiny new stuff expansions every six months is simply too much for CCP.

A really shiny new and thoroughly tested expansion every nine months would be a more achievable target.

Pre-Apocrypha we used to get expansions, not really sure what has happened to all that dev time since then but now we only really get patches. Which is fine i like the fact the client is stable and ships are balanced, but to call some of these 'expansions' is a bit of a joke really.

Since the bump is positive and has lasted more than a couple of days, it is already ahead of Incursions and Incarna… Blink

Historically, early December has been a low-pop month (I'm guessing that people are finishing up the work/school year before the holidays) and even massively successful expansions such as Crucible and Retribution saw a downturn going into their third week for similar reasons.

Unfortunately that new stuff probably won't be for this game. Even a much needed SOV rework is on the back burner.

New Content: The majority of people won't use it. Ghost sites? Who does those things?

New Implants and equipment: It only slightly improves the stats that they nerfs took away (warp speeds).

Warp Drive re-balancing: Only nice if you use an interceptor. For everyone else there is boo hoo.

So I'm sitting here not really bothered one way or another, but I'm not really impressed by Rubicon because it doesn't affect me.

EvE will never die so long as so many people are willing to pay $15 a month just so that they can come to the forums and complain. Thank you, all of you, so very much for continuing to help fund a game that gives me hours of enjoyment every day. I'm so glad that you're willing to help fund my entertainment. Long live EvE is dying!

May I suggest that it went to DUST/WoDO/Valk/whatever else CCP invests in only to drop it halfway to playability?

I beg to differ, I don't just complain, I also play SkillQueue Oflline.
