I've Dell XPS 17 with dual graphical cards: Intel (integrated) and Nvidia. Default card is set to Nvidia, also eve.exe is in programs list in nvidia controll panel which always runs with nvidia card. But still in EVE Options i see only Intel card. How to fix that without disabling Integrated card.

I have exactly the same laptop you have.I was wondering about the same thing with you during last spring when I baught it and installed EVE client first time.I remember that i read somewhere in the old forums that this is not an issua at all.The client simply can recognise the internal nVidia card but for some reason is unable to list it under the display adapter. So do not worry at all, nVidia is the adapter EVE client uses since it is located under the Manage 3D settings - program setings on the nVidia control panel.

You can bring the frames per second by having the exe listed in the above section of the contril panel and test again the FPS (ctrl+f) after you remove it.Then you may see the difference in the overla performance since in the second test you will force the internal i7 graphix accelerator processor to control the graphix engine of the client.

This is an issue with the way on how those cards are reported to the client when it starts and the nvidia chipset seemingly only kicking in and taking over after this check, from what i understand. As MIRMIDON already mentioned, on default settings, the nvidia chipset will usually be the one doing the actual work for the client graphics despite the client reporting the Intel chipset.

Had the same issue with my EEE PC 1215n and submitted a bug report (#118159) about it.

The problem disappeared a few days ago for unknown reasons. However, if the client wouldn't be using the NVIDIA graphics, it wouldn't start at all because the integrated graphics most likely doesn't support SM3.
