Which Lvl 3/4 Mission Running Battleship?

I'm having serious trouble sifting through all of the ancient posts about PvE Battleships.

I'm looking for advice on Amarr Battleships, but PvE Battleships in general. I just recently trained to Amarr BS I. Should I continue on that path and gaining the necessary skills for a Apoc/Geddon/Abaddon.

I currently fly a Harbinger equipped with T2 everything and I'm almost to Mastery Level III. I believe my skills are sufficient as of now that I can begin to focus training BS skills.

Which one of those would be best to handle Lvl 3's and 4's? Would I be better off heading into another Faction? I have a lot of supplementary skills trained up already, but don't mind training new ones as long as I feel comfortable with a specific skill plan.

Any advice is greatly appreciated. I'm sitting at a hair under 6 million SP right now and have no corpmates to bounce ideas off of.

Or if I'm jumping the gun addition info on Battlecruisers would be awesome as well. Thanks in advance.

Prophecy and Geddon can run L4s for any faction vs any faction because drones do good damage to any npc with good drone selections in fitting, and the drones aren't sensitive to ewar, The laserboats you really want to be running for an amarr agent which should give you (really, really roughly) a 30% each split between blood, sansha (which laserboats do well), and gurista (which they don't do so well).

Nightmares running for amarr agents are pretty decent earners, so its not like the laserboats are a dead end.

Well, a battleship for a level 3 is overkill. Really you only need a BC, and for a while I ran L3's in a cruiser when I started playing. I've heard good things about the navy geddon, so it might be worth a shot for you. That said, with the marauder changes that Paladin is a monster, so if you want to train for that you won't be let down by it.

Buddy of mine had an Abaddon he is about even with you in SP, I think he has about 8 million. He loved the Abaddon, but I was getting ready to get my Vargur, and I thought he could use a new shiny ship as well, so I bought him a Navy Apoc. Now he loves that. He is currently working on getting Amarr BS to V so he too can start the long arduous training for Marauder.
After flying my Vargur, I can say this, Marauders KICK soooooo much ass in PvE, they are worth every second of training time.

Ok. Thanks for the advice ya'll.

Yea, and I figured a BS for level III was too much I just wanted to make sure sticking with a BC like my Harbinger would be able to handle all level III's.

As for the Battleship I know it will take me 90~ days before I can fly one, just wanted to make sure I would be ok on my path towards the Amarr BS's for PvE.

And yea I've heard pretty good things about the Navy Apocs. Would purchase one of those, but really want to get T2 Large Lasers before I hop in one and get it blown to bits.

Amarr battleships have really nice sustained damage dealing due to no reload times. Paladin is the endgame.

Armageddon is a sidetrack that you should really take IMHO, just since it can pick damage type and project the damage to over 100km microjumpdrive ranges with ease.

T2 sentry drones and Drone interfacing V is what makes armageddon surpass pretty much all other amarr T1 BS with projected damage. That takes approx. 40 days with support skills, compared to long training of 100 days for t2 guns and level V support.

As good as the Armageddon is for running missions I feel that the Ababbon is the best tech 1 Amarr BS against EM rats:

[Abaddon, L4 missions/nullsec anoms]
Large Armor Repairer II
Shadow Serpentis Armor EM Hardener
Armor Thermic Hardener II
Reactive Armor Hardener
Heat Sink II

100MN Afterburner II

Large Energy Discharge Elutriation II

Large Capacitor Control Circuit II

Hobgoblin II x5
Salvage Drone I x5
Hornet EC-300 x5
Cap Booster 800 x16
Scorch L x8
Tracking Speed Script x1
Optimal Range Script x1

I have yet to find a Navy Apoc fit that could match it without resorting to bling. However it absolutely requires loads of SP to really shine.
