Suicide Ganking

For the guys that use battleships or battlecruisers to gank freighters:

How many freighters can they kill before they need to regrind their sec status?
How do they get their sec status back?
How long does it take (played hours) to do that?

For the guys that use destroyers to gank hulks or T1 industrials:

How many of these guys ever grind their status back vs. the guys that just drop the account?

Since this is part of total cost of a gank, I'm curious. :)

one word : Tags.

one sentence : Cause juicy stuff in freighters pays for them.

Almost nobody recycles their suicide ganking accounts because that's super against the rules.

You don't need to fix your sec to gank in destroyers... you just need to know how to move about while outlaw.

Tags are one way to repair sec; the other one of note is just blitzing L4 missions or incursions.

Sec status hits for illegal violence against ships are pretty moderate. It's the sec status hit for illegal violence against pods that is brutal - so you just avoid shooting pods illegally if you want to keep ganking long term.

Not necessarily blitzing, but doing all the battleships since they have the best secs. Cool

I've heard a quote of about 13 mill in tags per gank to keep status above -2.0. (-2.0 being the status that gets you shot at in 1.0 security systems)

Sounds about right when acquiring the tags from buy orders.

There is a fee to pay Concord when you turn in the tags and most are probably unorganized and buy from sell orders so I would budget 20 mil per gank.

When our alliance goes freighter ganking, the alliance sponsors tags to those who need them. Also we gank freighters in 0.5 systems because duh, so people don't need to tag themselves all the way to 0.

When we go orca ganking, we just come into the system flashy from lowsec.

I'd imagine if you had the dudes to gank JFs with Talos fleets, then buying tags is negligible relative to the phat loot JFs drop and the cost of a bunch of Talos.

I have been negative sec status on this character my main, pretty much since day one.

Have grinded my sec status once and will never do it again, not even with tags as it wouldnt be worth the billion or so to get it up, just to lose it all again.

I live my eve life with a highsec alt that can haul anything i need out to me. I gank in high, live in low, which is the best way to be IMO

Sec for tags is only like 500m to go from -10 now.

Just sharing the knowledge..

You forgot the option to live in low sec and just come in as outlaw and gank. I used to smartbomb in typhoons in jita before the insurance changes. Just used a very low traffic station, warped to an insta undock spot and then warped to my alt parked in the biggest possible cluster of people. (Also before autopilot flew all the way to station btw)
