Some interesting if unsubstantiated statistics claims in the comments as well, along with someone laying down just how strict Icelandic gun control laws are. Two main things I took from it was the fact the police regularly check up on registered gun owners to ensure the weapons are stored safely along with removing guns from people who develop or are diagnosed with mental illnesses.

Makes you wonder sometimes.
