I should have worded things better, I'll admit.

You are incompetent because even after being shown how cowardly these corporations were when faced with opposition, you didn't bother to kick them then and there.

Leadership is something you learn. Maybe one day, you'll learn that.

If you are trying to hire a merc alliance to kill someone in another alliance and it turns out that both of them are friends, then you can hire in another alliance that are not friends with them and get the job done.

It's not that hard. There are alot of good merc corps in empire you can choose between.

EDIT: We in Suddenly Spaceships also does merc contracts, but only in low sec and 0.0 space (to some points) as most of us are outlaws Pirate.

The very last time High sec saw true Mercs was 2009/2010

The Final Stand

Who took contracts against absolutely everyone!

They fought out numbered and didn't cry about losses as long as they won the fight!

They were paid to work their way through the entire Mercenary list at the time to prove their mettle and they did so.

They were also the highest paid Mercs in the business at the time, now so called mercs basically take the war dec fee and have at it, rarely fulfilling contract.

The Final Stand also travelled outside of Jita/Amarr to honour their contracts, including a stint in Pure Blind when they were paid to take out Maru Kage cap ships.

Mercs these days are not really mercs at all, they are like Paris Hilton wannabe's, wandering around with their handbags at the ready, teacup puppy inserted into bag and flashy wigs. They stand at opposite ends of the salon, berating each other with hair flicks and swinging said handbags around in a circle waiting for their nails to dry.

The Final Stand was made up of ex Mercenary Coalition pilots and its obvious why it was successful.

The only decent Merc alliance to come before it was Mercenary Coalition itself......

Words of wisdom- holding grudges in EVE is pointless; more often than not- you will find that today's enemy is tomorrows fleet mate, and tomorrows fleet mate could be named alliance executor next month. Not sure if you're just impossible to deal with or if you starred in a German Scheiße video, people **** on you, we get it. Please stop being bitter in literally every thread possible.

I went out of my way to not name names or explicitly point in any single direction to avoid the very circle jerk you brought to the thread. Thank you for letting your unbridled stupidity trounce all over a meaningful and intelligent conversation.

Good point. When I get a contract offered against someone we are close with, I will forward the client to someone I know who is not close to them. Even if that means forwarding them to our 'evil enemies'. In the end I always try to help the clients, even if we can not help them. If needed I will even tell a client, that they shouldn't hire us or anyone else, if there is a better and cheaper option. Been paid isks many times for good advice, without asking for it. And clients who you help out in any way, will return to you and might have a nice contract the next time.

Running a merc alliance without good client relations will fail in the end. Players may complain all they want about Marmites, but we keep most of our clients happy.....
