i understand where you're coming from with your anti-piracy stance, that's nothing new... but i read your directives and you really are just intent on taking a lot of the fun things out of the game, aren't you?

i looked up your killboard stats... you say you want to fight pirates, but instead what you do is hang out in prov and gwl, and as far as i can tell you mine in belts or whatever until "pirates" (0.0 roamers are not pirates) come through, and you gang up with locals like s3v and cva, gate hug and try to pick off some low-hanging fruit in home defense fleets that are far larger than necessary.

it's interesting to me that you purport to combat piracy, but by further populating these regions you give the people you hate a reason to continue existing; you're indirectly contributing to piracy just by being a corp.

anyhow as much as i'd love to debate the finer points, my jurisdiction as care police doesn't really extend to what you enjoy doing in eve. enjoy your free bump

hi i'm requiescat, and i'm your best friend♥

It's a classic;
criminals and pirates only have fun when they do the really crude and rude stuff, like blowing up others ships, or reaping the benefits of someone elses hard work, doing drugs etc. It's a side-effect of chosing that path in life. And all the time you need a bigger fix to get you back to that joyous state.

Normal people however usually have a finer sense of fun. You know, ordinary stuff, like taking a decent camping trip to the forest with friends, having a good talk, standing together against the crudeness of the world, and the pirates and griefers of EVE etc. I guess you think all this is really boring and all signs of weakness.

Your argument is really weak btw, and I am pretty sure the real reason for your hate post is not what you say. You are in fact claiming that the medicine is the cause of the disease. You complain about the tactics we use to try and keep an area safe, when in fact you should be complaining about the piracy there. Well, some of us just like to bring in a bit extra dimensions into EVE, such as morality and properness. Stuff that is all really boring to you I am sure. If you did have a bit of decency in you, you would complain about the pirates, not the defenders against them. I think the real reason for your angry post is a subconscious reaction to the fact that you're not a part of the guys that fight for properness, simply put it's a form of jealousy. Well, I can tell you, it's not too late to change your ways.

i understand completely where you're coming from, it's just that... well, check this out

i'm not complaining about your tactics. i'm just saying, if you want to keep people out of your region, you can either a) not give them any viable targets, and there are a variety of ways to do that whether that's to have a good intel channel and keep everyone alert, or to castle bubble gates and make it difficult to travel through your region without jump bridge access, or whatever, or you can b) have effective home defense fleets that kill more than they lose, which you're never going to do with a gate hugging kitchensink fleet

( by kitchensink what i mean is, "everyone ship up, bring whatever you have, we need to defend our space!" )

when you have dudes in ospreys and crap on a gate trying to defend your region, you are basically inviting these guys into your space and saying, "hey, we're mediocre pvpers at best, please come pick off the slowest and weakest of our herd and then leave, giggling all the way out of providence!"

engagements like this, i honestly almost feel bad afterward because bless your little hearts you're trying, but there's nobody who knows enough about pvp teaching you guys what to do for you to even put a dent in the "pirates" in your region

yeah, got it, you're annoyed. Still I think it is against the forum rules to shitpoast in someones recruitment thread. I don't know what these guys do, but the minny militia farm kills them too, so more power to them.

it's free bumps, and i think you might need a refresher on what "shitpoasting" is if you think this is that

Well, I somewhat get a hint in your posts that you're actually trying to be helpful, however:

Or you can just do the stand up thing and form fleets and fight the pirates when they show up. And we already have pretty decent intel, thankyou. And we dont put up static bubbles on the gates around here. There is just way to much friendly traffic we would annoy (and possibly even endanger). Its how it is in an NRDS area, alot of people. Not like in other 0.0 sec regions.

And those stats are industrialists being victims of pirates and all kinds of things included. However, our defence fleets do much better than that. They run on a daily basis, and I think we're doing pretty good, maybe 10:1 kill ratio in our organized fleets? And yes, we welcome all kinds of ships as long as they fill certain criteria. Otherwise how are you going to be able to teach newer pilots how the show works? We may have somewhat ragtag style on our defence fleets, but that's just partly true. If you look closer you'll see we're always accompanied by certain specialized ships. We're even getting pretty good at killing those gate crashing Dramiels! ^^ Didnt expect that did you.. lol

You know, the l33t approach never really appealed to me. Sure, we may not look like a well honed veteran combat unit, but we do invite newer pilots how to fly as well. The softer approach is better, its more friendly, and more fun for all. But like I said, dont do the mistake thinking we're all newbies around here. If pirates are attracted by the vulnerable look of our fleets, let them come. Why should we stop relaxing and having fun just because some griefers would find it attractive.

Seriously dude, any killboard of a normal alliance you go through has stuff like that in them. And the opposite. What you have to do is study to get the full picture. Do that and then we can talk. Not sure where you got you particular impression and attitude of what we are doing, but I suspect you may be spending a bit too much time with so called l33t pvpers. I suggest you take a break and separate yourself from them, its much more relaxed and fun.
Oh yeah, and talking about fun http://kb.yulaifederation.net/?a=kill_detail&kll_id=7989
