launcher wont start patch 1.0.5

hi,
my eve launcher wont patch rubicon 1.0.5 it intialises and then hangs on step 2/4 before spitting out a error popup "server not found" error popup saying that cant reach the url http://cdn1.eveonline.com/662240/RepairData_662240.dat

also occasionaly the launcher does offline mode

connecton to the rest of the internet seems ok and its not my internet firewall as i switched it off and it stll does not work..

now upon starting the client comes up with a downloading launcher update window which gives way to an unexpected error message

tried running the repair tool, it gets stuck at 1/7 initiliseing..

The same problem here. My friends (including ones in my local network) went thru update successfully, but I'm getting this error. Repair doesn't work, either - it cannot connect and stops at 1/7 step.

I think I have the same keep getting this;

"Could not connect to the specified address. Odds are that you have not established an internet connection, the server isn't running, or the server address or port number was wrong."

That's AFTER I got the black screen of doom, then server reboot and ran repair 15 times AND tried to launch from the exe in .bin folder....what to do, what to do....

ok tried deleting the contents of my eve folder and copying the contents of my sisi folder to eve to see if that kick starts anything and i have the launcher back but back to the original problem of it coming up with server not found online repair tool still getting nowhere fast! X

after downloading the patch via bin/ evefile and switching off my antivirus temporarily it all seemed to click! problem solved...

Hi,

sorry about the inconvenience.
Sadly the log you provided is incomplete so it is hard to say where things went wrong. But do I understand you correctly that disabling your Anti-Virus allowed you to update properly?

it did.. but i did disable my antivirus earlier with no success so i dont think its the sole problem . even after renewing my game files from the copy i have for running sisi the problem remained. So to me the solution seemed to happen when i bypassed the launcher using the bin/exefile.exe to start patching then dropped my antivirus that allowed the launcher to update that worked..

I just had this issue as well but after reading your post I tried shutting down my firewall and that fixed it.
