Remove cloak with new stealth mods?

So there are some stealth modules on the unpublished stuff on the database. It looks like they could effectively making it so that your signature radius can be a hull size lower than what you are in, or next to nothing. The cap cost would make it so you'd probably be unable to run the module for long time unless your ship had bonuses to its cap use.

But what would you generally think about that idea...?? Remove cloaking, make people practically unscannable in frigates/cruisers with this mod, but you can eventually find a lot of stuff out there, but pvp engagements against these would require target painters.

As far as I know, those modules have been on the database for a long time and nobody is even considering removing cloaking devices. The 'stealth' modules as you described them were envisaged as a direct counter to target painters, but never introduced due to extremely niche use and - like you said - they could make someone unscannable.

I wouldnt worry about unscannable (those are no longer exist anyway), but lower sig module with skirmish links, halo set and ragna bonus would make some things very hard to kill / track.

Opinions are like assholes. Everybody got one and everyone thinks everyone else's stinks.

100MN AB ships would be even more of a pain in the ass to kill if they were running one of those stealth mods
