Talking about logging in an being greeted by a black screen? Same here, doesn't matter if I choose DirectX 9 or 11.

I can hear music and I can pull up the escape menu etc. But there's nothing else, screen is completely black.

It started getting clunky about five minutes ago, failing to update systems. I assumed it was my client being derpy, and restarted, and everything seemed fine. Then things got sloooow, and jumping through the gate ended up with no updates into the new system. Tried a new restart and ended up logging into the black screen of death...*dum-duh-dum*
