I was just posting in a thread in GD about if you had won the lottery and thought of this. I'm sure a lot of you guys have dream houses. so post them here. post pictures, lists, whatever explaining your dream house assuming you had a few hundred million dollars/euros (I know they are a large gap, but still probably understandable)

mine as far as I can remember
small place (easy to manage and clean)
entertainment room with en-suit server room
centralized computing with touchscreen terminals around the house
complete wireless coverage for a wireless headset
faraday cage encasing the entire house with a cell repeater to relay into the house
fiber internet line coming into the house
reinforced concrete construction
heavy polycarbonate windows with metal shutters
steel doors
biometric authenticated entry
off-site stored video security
current kitchen tech
geothermal HVAC

I'm sure I'm missing some stuff, but for now this is the list.

just realized I still had this laying around.

If you'd have a 'few hundred million dollars/euros' why in the hell do you want a small place?

Might help not to spent everything on Exotic Dancers and Fine Wine, but on some Amarrians to clean the place palace Big smile

because I don't particularly care for house cleaners, and most of the spare room would just go to waste.

Just a little fortress with barbed wire perimeteter and MG-42 machineguns somewhere in distant Karelia. Prepared for muslim invasion.

To be, or not to be, that's the question.

I'd have a small house too.. or move back into my first house.

I've seen a few stories in the news about people who win the lottery but have no self control and spend all their winnings within months. Usually their fancy new mansion ends up a craphole filled with drug addicts and devalues everything around it.

It is difficult for some people.

They cannot stay in their current home because the social implications do not permit it - like parking a $100k sports car outside. Their neighbours oust them.

The other extreme is that they then move to a neighbourhood full of millionaires who do not accept them because they didn't earn it and therefore do not belong.

Reverse snobbery in both cases.

My opinion: It's a nice problem to have Smile

The best house for you will change as you go through different periods of your life.

Sometimes a city pad with full wireless/etc and a small kitchen will be best, sometimes (if you're lucky) you'll want a suburbs house with more bedrooms and a huge kitchen and a playroom. And at the end you may want a quiet cottage in the country.

If you're at the city pad stage, just make sure you don't tell your gf that it's your ideal house - just lie and tell her your ideal house is the big house with the playroom (she'll swoon).

First and foremost I'd like a MASSIVE underground car park, and something maybe Art Deco up top, maybe something ultra modern and edgy.

plus a small house costs less to maintain (I know I have nearly unrealistic amounts of money). with that dream house, I can convert the entertainment room into a bedroom easily then it would be a 2 bedroom house.
I did have a dream house of what is essentially an underground bunker with normal livability, but it would be unrealistic and painful to keep up and clean. by essentially, I mean that it's underground, but it has an open atrium to let actual sunlight in.

Bad choice. Winter half a year, summer half a year, but not Gulfsteam to warm things up.

Now Norway has some interesting possibilities.

A castle on high mountain somewhere, with its own farm (for both plants and animals).
Have it's own artesian well for water. Run on it's own geothermal/wind/solar/ZPE power plant.
Runs with AI robotic slaves (that includes servants, farmers, guards and etc.)
Has a harem full of nubile young women.
Includes an armory of heavy weaponary (inc AI tanks) and exotic weapons.
Includes a spaceport and perosnal inter-stellar craft .... just in case SHTF.
