I think everything in the UI is too big. There needs to be more scale customisation.

The ship' preview is cool and all, but it's the root of the fitting window size problem.
A problem we didn't have before.

I like the full sized window, when i'm arranging launchers/turrets on my ship, i like to shift them around until they're in pleasing spots.

But there should be a slimmed down version.
Something sort of similar how the saved fitting menu looks. Except with an option to show icons.

What do you guys think about the size of the fitting window?

I'm finding it is a waste of space. I can't properly fit the other windows I want open with it at the same time. I find myself constantly shifting positions of windows in order to do various things in relation to ship fitting.

It cannot be re sized or made opaque. You can close the info panel on the right however that is more important to me than the other panel TBH, and it still suffers from a height issue independent of this.

Am I missing something? If not, who else agrees that the window size needs to be reduced/reducible?

So we get the same information just in a smaller area, + shows the drones =)

Right now the fitting window takes up more than half the screen in horizontal and vertical directions.
That is too big, even at 1920x1080, but especially at the lower resolutions.

i have no issues with the fitting window and i run a reasonably cluttered ui with some things large by other ppls standards. I dock it on the right hand side at the very top and next to my overview, doesnt interfere with any spaceship commands or my chat/inventory or fleet window

This isn't exactly high priority, but the OP makes a good point and even offers a suggestion on how to go about it (I like what you did with the resized/compact fitting window). An option to resize would be nice.

Disagree. I can mini-spin while I plan fits.

I think it's fine on a 1920x1200 24'.

Just allow the fitting window to be re-sizeable.

The window is indeed quite big and could do with slimming down a bit. It does get messy if you open fitting window, inventory, possible a few variation comparisons and the market. Making it use less screen estate would be good.

The fitting window is redundant. And it does take up too much space. They should ditch it. Instead, the cap dial...whatever you call it, should hide when you dock but still be able to reappear by ticking a button at the bottom of the screen and you should be able to fit you ship directly to/from the module buttons with a slight addition to show rigs/subsystems.

Disagree 100%. Fittign windows gives far more information than that. Also if it was smalelr it woudl be hard for older people (liek me) that do nto have perfect vision anymore)

Considering just about everyone is playing eve at different resolutions, everything should be resizeable. Static windows are for forced resolution games. Which mostly went out of style in the 90s.

The window is indeed quite large and cumbersome even on high resolution. But why not scale UP instead of DOWN?

Spinning a ship or looking at my muppet isn't that uber-usefull either. I wouldn't mind if Eve allowed the fitting window to be displayed on the entire background, like it does with the ship or the CQ.

MOAR FITTING WINDOW.

In all seriousness, we need to be able to fit multiple ships at once through the fitting window.

I agree, sometimes it's too big. That hurts.
