May sound stupid from sobebody who did almost no trading, but i will give it a shot:

Why not implement an automatical bidding system ? (something like on e-bay):
-you enter the price you want to sell/buy it for + the max / min price somebody wants to buy/sell the stuff
-bots would get less effective, not that much time needed to adjust orders

What do you think ?
